Clinical practise is awesome u gets lot of patients to nurture your skills
The library is one of the finest library of chattisgarh
The hostel room is good u get a common washroom that's a problem , also some rooms have balcony some don't so that's a problem

Dislikes

The teachers are rude as iThey are in various medical college, also the curroption level is too high but as now the dean is changed so we can expect something better
There is no good playing spots students go to play outside the campus around 400 meters away
On the name of recreational activity the fund is not given , even students contribute for their own farewell

The MBBS is something that u should do only if u r really interested in medicine there is no place for non serious candidates also u will not be able to change the world around u , u can only Chandge the world of persona nd a family by saving a person from his illness Choosing MBBS is not a wise decision bcz u choose someone else life above your own Also the career is rewarding but after 15 yr of rigorous study

Internships Opportunities

Internship is good with lots of variety of patients and u will certainly feel overburden but this will make u a good doctor as u can urself take rounds nd also prescribe medicine this will surely make ur practise glow

Placement Experience

The college is governed by state govt bondd of 2 years for both the AIQ and state quota students So the placement is through that only it's salary is around 56000 fixed, apart from that the hard posting allowance in sukma and bijapur makes salary around 50000+30000=80000

Fees and Financial Aid

It's a govt medical college alloted through neet with annual fees of 50000 1st year, 45000 2nd yr,35000 3rd yr, 25000 4th year, In internship u get 15000 per month The college has good clinical setting , patient flow of 500/day, ipd around 1000 patients with OT, ALL THE LABS AND COOPERATIVE STAFF

Campus Life

The social life is rubbish here you don't get lot to do the college neither giver permission nor it gives fund for the same , but student contribute and do arrange some festivals ex navratri , Christmas, Holi , Ganesh chaturthi etc

Hostel Facilities

Hostel is free of cost and mess charges are included in it actually that's the compound fee of the college included in college fees that makes around 50000 that include tuition plus hostel fees The food is average with fixed menu some students also buy some tiffin service as it offers more variety then the mess Total 5 mess are their 2 intern Male and female and 1 Jr mess

Hostel Fee: INR 500 per year

Admission

This is one of the finest college. Person should choose for MBBS in chhattisgarh as this provides a really good patient flow along with scope for putting efforts as well s the study is good too. After Gmc Raipur this should be the first choice not Cims bilaspur as they have pgs there that don't allow u to work The admission process is simple and on the basis of centralises neet councelling

Faculties are good the exam pattern is same as prescribed by NMC , but faculties are reluctant to teach u skills also they refrain from giving good internal marks and the deficit needs to be covered from the exams

Navigating Medical School: A Comprehensive Review

Course Curriculum Overview:

The main aspect that influenced me is the externals and clinicals that made by decision to take this course because more than theory is the postings and clinicals which are neccessary to become a good doctor and also helps you to gain confidence. This is not just a curriculum but is a priority academics that prepares a student to save ones life which is far more important than just learning or reading. And yes it prepares us very well through clinicals and postings in addition to theory lectures or exams. As per my view, improvements in posting durations is very important than theory durations due to the priority. And yes teaching methods may get improve if some more fresh cadavers may get introduced in college every year. Exam are held in two phases, 3 terminals and 1 final. 3 terminals are held whole year with 3 to 4 months gap and finals at the end of the semester which is the final exam. Terminals exams are easy and quick whereas finals are tough and time consuming.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course as it was my parents dream and during childhood my paediatrician also inspired me to become a DR. This college has good faculties. In a subject department there is 1 HOD( head of department), 1 assistant professor,1associate professor, 2-3 demonstrator and many management workers. They are very helpful. Also there are 60 students so it is very helpful for students to understand what professor says. There is good communication between students and professors overall I would say a good bonding is there. All faculties MBBS graduated though some have done PHD also but they have good teaching experiences to make a student understand everything.There are 2 internal exams which are average to pass and one University exam in which you have to pass to go to next year. You have to give a supplementary exam if you fail the University exam or the final exam.

So I applied for all medical Colleges present in chhattisgarh in counseling process. This college was my 4th preference, in counseling I was allotted to this college according to my rank in NEET 2023. My rank was not good enough to get 1st 3 colleges of my preference. So Didn't get there. However GMC Raipur is considered as best medical college in chhattisgarh after AIIMS Raipur, followed by CIMS Bilaspur, and for 3rd some students prefer Rajnandgaon over Jagdalpur because of Distance from home . Personally, I preferred GMC Rajnandgaon over GMC Jagdalpur because Rajnandgaon is closer to my hometown but I couldn't made it to there,and I was alloted Jagdalpur.
