IITD from a first years perspective

IIT Delhi provides you with the best in everything and prepares you not only in your course but in your other aspects of life as well. It targets to develop you as a whole. They also teach you real life time skills needed in jobs. The average package is also good and the placements are great.

A huge range of companies offer internships opportunities. You can intern under your professors too. And during all this the faculty's help you. They also guide you as to how to get these internships and how to manage them.

The placements are great. The department responsible for placements is OCS and they are the best at their job they find top class recruiters and that too from big companies in your field. They also teach you how to prepare for them from the first year itself.

The total tuition fee for the general category students is 800000 including admission fee of 16150 . But there are fee waivers for different categories. I was from st quota so I I just had to pay the admission fees. The tuition fee was completely free. I had to pay the hostel and mess which was around 43000 for a semester excluding security deposits. Apart from that you also have to pay some fees for extras but that isn't much it's somewhere around 10000. The institution informs you about the scholarship during your studies. Considering a course like design it's cheaper than other institutions and the quality isn't compromised plus you get the benefits of IIT delhi.

There are a lot of fest and they keep happening from time to time. The biggest fest of Asia 'rendezvous' also takes place here. And you know that IITs are definitely known for their fest. Big celebrations happen that too with big celebrities. The fest are of wide range too. Whether you are of a certain club play sports or in a certain hobby there will be a feat for you!!

The hostel is not that good but not that bad either. If you compare it with other hostels in du its great. You get full freedom, best facilities but you'll have trouble during summer as air conditioning is not allowed and the rooms are pretty small otherwise the food is great and overs a huge variety form different states. The rooms and mess foods vary from hostel to hostel so cross your fingers.

I mean we are talking about IIT delhi here. Of course I would choose this. Top class faculty, best facilities and wide range too. And the feats they are the best. You just need to learn how to balance life here otherwise the fun here will make you forget your academics

Faculty to student ratio is very good. And the design faculty is pretty friendly,nice and understanding. The faculty are top class and the more you know about them the more astonishing you feel. They love their work and expect the best from you so they make you work hard too so buckle up. The curriculum is interesting and fun in design. There is hardly any wriiten exams but you have to do a lot of work on projects and assignments.
