Good ambiance but food could be better nescafe is awesome no place for sports but students still manages there own cleanliness is amazing in college. College properties are good not destroyed.

NIFT (written and situation test) i scored 96th rank, i have chosen for leather design among all of the other courses because i always wanted to be a elite person and leather symbolizes richness itself its quite life changed experience to choose nift as my upcoming career because i was a medical student and leaving a medical college for designing was too difficult and risk taking decision but ultimately i know me and my decisions designing is the only thing left in this world which is best for me.

The following subjects are in each semester 1st year more process based, 4 theories, group assignmentslater years was in our respective departments 2nd year - garment making, stitching, pattern making and graphics comes into process based and merchandising and leather studies and processes. 3rd year- jacket making & waistcoats, leather bags and accessories, and one graphical subject like adobe flash in process based and theories again leather studies and processes, and research methodology which comes in research based. 4th year- compiling of all of the semesters work: portfolio, one others department subject , i took photography and 2 departmental electives mine is visual merchandising, and non leather materials theory based is design methods and entrepreneurship and advance professional practices also csr last but not the least is colloquium paper which is again research based.

Generally export houses basically in industry we tend to learn on grounded level so export houses are the best for the basic learning processes off course stipend 18 k is the maximum and 5 k is the minimum, it depends on company to company. almost all leather export houses , buying house and also designers come for internship and placements from all over the india. from our own wish we can try abroad also. also there is a work experience trips one is cluster training and other is tannery training.

Good placements but packages are not upto the level which they can be out of 30 students from a respective department was placed, some are went to designer label, some starts their own label and others went to buying , retail and export houses and exceptions went for higher studies.the following companies were in competiton apollo leather ltd.orion complexsavi leatherstriburg buying housesuperhouse kabeer exportssamant chauhannida mehmoodritu kumarthree sixty degreeb n enetrpise rajeev gandhi handicraft bhawanand so on the least packages were 3 lacs and higher was 11 in lakhs.

Social dramatics and nukkad natak competitions, debate, poetry, story telling, etc sports converge (competition regarding all in all nift's one is the host), amphi cricket league, volley ball , badminton among the students of the college)cultural dance music and singing competitions spectrum, nift fashion olympiad with other colleges of all over india , fashion show in nift among deparments.

Its expensive then other colleges as a govt. structure.sem 1- 60,750 INRsem 2- 55.000 INRsem 3- 63,000 INRsem 4- 55,000 INRsem 5- 65.500 INRsem 6- 57,000 INRsem 7- 72,000 INRsem.

Merit cum scholarship is there, sc / st welfare society is also there. There is a bank collaborated with the college so that you get easily get student loan from there i know too many students who were studied on their loans.

My college life is amazing the ups and downs regarding each day i cannot forget , the exam stress, late night group chat for cancelling the assignments, competition among all of us regarding assignments, birthdays, fest preparation and so many memories just cant forget as a design based college there is bit gender ratio imbalance mostly are girls less boys and some are bisexual, gays, lesbians, sex changed also the competition were good mentioned earlier.

No hostels in nift, and i am a day scholar so i dont have any idea about pg's and flats most of the students are from outside the city s0 they live in pg's and flats of their own their is no responsibility of college.

Alumni is so cool from the nift they came here for visits shared there life turning point and nift experiences all of them were not visited but some i have my friends also in them seniors or super seniors those trips of them were official but suppose if someone is your good friend also they can come for friendly visit also.

Exams are fun in nift hectic but mostly are process based so we can do earlier as well but there is time limitation because so much of assignments were on your head so you dont have time for do your exam preparation earlier labs are enough and exams are chilled out. interactive jury session and presentations.

They are good bit confident what they are teaching. In our department their are 5 faculties, all are designers so quite classy and high standard all are well in there own fields shivashakthi sir- so experienced and chilled outusha maam- serious , wants work and then always do fun shinju maam- little moody but nice, teach welltulika maam- mother of department so caring but very strict.neeti maam - fun fun fun that's it, teach amazinglyand dolly maam - moody again but caring and very cool in her field.
