What Students Say
Likes
- Like the campus and tutors, the campus was first a mall which was then converted into a whole college
- The tutors here seem very pleased to teacher cause I didn’t have such tutors who were always so enthusiastic to teacg
- It is placed in the main market of Rajouri which sounded very exciting to source all the resources for the college year and also has many apartments for students who are willing to transfer
Dislikes
- The metro being a fair might seem very useful and realistic but the college starts early in the morning at 8:15 but commuting to the college thru metro living upto the standards of this place isn’t very realistic as my commute time is almost an hour
- The real nice apartments again might be a pro but not the hell amount of money you have to spend, cause as college students financial stability is not very likely to happen
- The attendance system is very poor cause the portal that’s used to operate the whole campus isn’t fixed and has pretty bad bugs
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum should've been more fluid rather than focusing on only the system syllabus, cause the whole reason I joined Pearl a very reputable institution is that I do not want to fall under the system of strict syllabus and rigid system, I'd like to have more liberty in what I learn and how I'll be able to implement it in real life scenarios
Placement Experience
Speaking about placements I have very little knowledge about it as I am in first year, but after engaging with some really helpful seniors there has been a good hype in the campus placements and I've also heard very reputable companies have accepted students from this college. Also to mention the most important part of this college is it has a 99% placement program which really stood out to me, while talkin to the administrative staff my interest piqued when I heard there was a student who got 12lakh per annum placement opportunity
Fees and Financial Aid
I did get a scholarship, which was of 80k for the entire year and yet that didn't suffice to be a good financial aid, also to pay the fees I used my mums credit card cause getting 8lakh out of nowhere isn't as normal as it sounds to such a luxurious private college, overall I do think its worthy for a shot and for the privilege of gettin a good placement
Campus Life
As a first year student all I can say right now is how the college programs have always been in campus, I really thought I'd have the opportunity to meet new people from other colleges and be very competitive, not focusing about the clubs in the college it's going pretty well, I got into 2 exciting clubs that piqued my curiosity, they are the fashion society and the little help(it's an ngo program in the college) Being part of these clubs has added a much required layer of excitement and energy in my college life cause the Little Help Society once took me to an ngo where we had to paint the walls making them look alive, oh boy it was so fun, and the fashion society has a different theme every month beginning and dressing up to the occasion really helped me to show myself thru style adding character and personality to me but through fashion
Admission
I applied to this college as it seemed to be the right choice for exploring and also the great technology. But this college is so stuck on the syllabus that there is very little grout for exploration and making college life more experimental. The cutting-edge technology this college has compared to the esteemed university life at Nift caught my interest.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is very accurate, almost every teacher gets about 30 students in every class which gives them more time to pay attention to all students and help them raise their grades. There are a few exceptional teachers who are very well verged and knowledgeable in their field who give valuable advice to students, it is very important to have such teachers for students to get a gist of the future world, there are 8 semester and students are required to take exams after each semester to show their capabilities.
Night Life
There is no gym which I do hope there was, but the campus and food oh boy it is sooo yummy and too good to miss. The campus rating has always been good as they serve tasty food in a very mediocre price, I think that's what is financially helping all the students survive without fainting in class cause food is necessary to fuel a humans body Although gym would also be helpful to get your mind away from all the stressful syllabus and deadlines, it would be great to stay active and have an engaging workout session
Other Applied Colleges
Indian Institute of Design - [IID] | Bachelor of Design [B.Des] (Communication Design)
Didn’t seem like the right fit for me, and was lacking behind in technology
