Course Curriculum Overview
I would rate the course & curriculum 4 out of 5.The curriculum is practical and industry oriented. The evalution system is continuous rather than heavy exams, which includes, Internals, Externals, Juries & submissions.
Internships Opportunities
The college provide internships in the end of the second year of the course. The stipened may vary according to the type and nature of the organization.Godrej, Homelane, are few of the associated companies.
Placement Experience
The college provides 100% placements which are realistic, but sucess largely depends on the portfolio quality, skills & initiatives rather than only campus drives. The highest package provided id around 9LPA.
Fees and Financial Aid
The anual fee is Rs. 5,40,000/- for the course. There is no exception on the basis of SC, ST, OBC categories, but our college provide merit based scholarships on tution fee, which has been availed by a number students till date.If student has got more than 75% in marks in 12th( best five) he'll get 10% of scholarship, if 80% marks 15% and this goes on increasing.
Campus Life
My overall experience at JIMS VK2 is acdemically engaging, socially comfortable and career centric. The college emphasizes on classroom learning and practical exposure along with the extra curricular activities.
Admission
I applied to a few colleges offering Interior Design course in Delhi NCR, including both private and government institutes. But after comparing them on parameters such fee, curriculum, placement etc I chose JIMS VK2.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is 1:20 or 1:25, which is good for a design course. All the faculty members are qualified and experienced and I interact with all of the them. The faculties are cooperative and always ready to mentor so there no dislike in this aspect. The Exams are categorised into Internal & Externals, with 30:70 ratio.
Interview Experience
The admissions are based on entrance test and one to one interview. The Interviews are conducted to access general aptitude of the student along with simple course related concepts. The Entrance is basically an aptitude test which can be prepared and cracked.
Night Life
The nightlife around campus is decent. The campus closes around 5-6 pm.The cafeteria is functional during college hours.Students can comfortably work in the campus till 6 pm. The hostel/ PG timings are till 9:30-10:00 pm.
