A disciplined college with average exposure and honest reality.

If i have to rate the BCA curriculam , I would say it is average in relevence and basic in depth . It is good for understanding fundamentals, but not enough if your goal is to be industry ready after grauation.I choose bca mainly because it cover basic computer science subject like programming, databases, operating system , etc.It gives a structured entry into IT field without heavy maths like engineering.It is suitable if you plan for MCA or higher studies later. curriculam gives conceptual clarity, not too much in depth. programing is taught but not at an industry level.Real projects , live tools, and frameworksare missing. Areas that need improvement Update subject according to current it trends.add more hands on coding and real world projects. Teaching method improvements: less slide reading , more li ve coding.Practical exams should carry more weight. Exam frequency , Timing and difficulty : exams are held every semester , internal include tests, assignmentand attendence.

College supports: College share internship links, whatsapp groups and notices for internship , mainly in it support, basic development . companies roles : mostly small firms , startup and local it companies. common roles like web development it support so on. stipned : many internships are unpaid some offer 3k to 8k per month projects and works: Basic website creation , content updates. simple coding tasks or testing. outcomes: understanding basic work culture ,adding experience to resume,geettinf certificate.

Placement at jims vk2 are average and not very strong, especially for BCA. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the 5th or 6th semester. Compinies and offer Some small it companies , startup,and service based firms visit the campus. roles are Technical support, junior developer, and so on. Package details Highest package: Around average level, nothing exceptional. Average package: Entry level salary , suitable only for freshers. College does not officially publish detailed placement stats . placement percentage : only a small percentage of students get placed through campus. mostly students look for off campus placements. Employability and my plans after completing my bca i go gor off campus placements.

I am a student of jims vk2 pursuing bca (3 year) and i belong to the general caregory . The fees is same ever year, there is no increase till course completion. fees breakup (per year) 1.Tution fees 72000 2.Admission fees 15000 3.Development fees 7500 4. cautions fees not charged 5.lab/library/exam fees not charged seperately 6.other compulsory charges none so overall, the main amount goes in tution and admission . no surprise charges after taking admission. for the complete 3 years bca course total fees comes around 481500 as per my experience , the college has not increased the fees during the courses. There is no difference in fees for general , sc , st or other categories . All students pay the same amount . college provide merit based scholarship 10% scholarship for students who scored 75% to 79.9%, 15% scholarship for students who scored 80% to 85%. I am student who take 10% scholarship in my first year of colllge and now i am in second year the scholarship is based on first year scored if is scored more than 75% the again my scholarship will be continue.Fees is on the higher side of bca, but atleast it is transparent. No extra charges are added later this is agood thing in our college as comparison to other colleges . Many college add fee like exam fee event fee and so on added later but in our college ther is no added fee which can be pay later by student .

campus life at jims vk2 is quiet and academic focused .Annual /Technical fests:The college conducts small annual cultural events and seminars, usually held between feb to april . there is a large technical fest which is called cynet it is between many jims colleges. Library/facilties: The library has basic textbooks related to bca syllabus. Limited journals and reference books are available . classrooms/technology:ther are clean and well maintained with projectors and basic smart class facilities . Labs are functional but need upgrades . Sports and Extracurriculars: Sports facilities are very limited .No big playground. Club and students groups: there are some coding club, dance club, singing club but not that much active.

I applied to a few private college in delhi ncr for bca.I also explored some government and well-known colleges, but either the cutoff was high or seats were limited.I got confirmed admission from a couple of simialr level private institution, but i choose jims vk2 mainly because the admission process was clear and fast .college is well known in delhi for managemnt and computer courses .Location is good and easy to reach. i tried for better college but i could not get in because high cutoff, limited seated ,strong competition Admission process at jims vk2 Eligibility- 12th pass with required percentage entrance exam mostly merit based cutoff average not very high you can easily take admission in this college.

My experience with the faculty , courses structure and exam system is mostly too good .The faculty to student ratio is decent not overcrowded. Each class has a manageable number of student in my batch there are 30 students so faculty know each and every person name .Faculty is approachable.If you attend class regularly and ask your doubts then teacher will help you in your studies . If you want extra classes then you can ask about teacher they can schedule lecture in their free time.I am a student who dont have maths in their plus 2 but because of faculty i can scored ggod marks in mathematics and know good knowledge about this subject. Some teachers are really good in explaining concepts, especially core subjects like programming, dbms, basic matheatics teacher teach through projector and other things will be explained manually in board. Our faculties have good knowledge about ther subject all of them have good experience of teaching.They focus on practical coding thats why we have lab every week. In every semester we have an industrial visit and guest lecture . The BCA corses structure is : 1.Divide into 6 semester. 2.Combination of theory subjects +practical labs. 3.Focus is more on theritical knowledge 4.Practical subject exist. There are internal exams + semester end exams. internal includes mid term exam, assignment, attendence marks.Exams are moderate not too much hard mostly questions are from pyqs.If you study from class notes and pyqs, you can pass easily even scored good marks.I scored good marks to study this resourses in my first year.in my class very few students fail mostly those who dont attend classes or dont submit assignments. There are two exams in each semester one is mid term exam and other is final exam and practical exam. In practical exam we have to submit practical files and give the viva on practical day .

There is no real nightlife inside the campus .JIMS VK2 is a day college npt a residential university . Campus/Facilities timings: College campus closes by evening around 5pm.no late nights study areas. Hostel situation:No official on campus hostel.Student stay in PGS or rented flats. famous hangout places : ambience mall , cafes and street food . safety at night: Area is generally safe till late evening.Malls and main roads are fine , but roaming very late at night in empty lanes is not recommended.
