Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum designed is very good and up to date. It keeps getting updated as much as possible. It is advanced and planned in a way thats easy to understand. All the parts of the curriculum are practical and hands on. They prepare us for the real world The frequency and timings if the exams are a bit weird as it keeps changing currently due to their shift from a private college to a semi government college

Placement Experience

4

Campus placements do happen in pearl they happen in the 4th year. The placements rate is 99% and they also have a feature where they will get placements for u throughout ur life if u r an alumni Companies like chanel, zara , hnm all have visited pearl

Fees and Financial Aid

Per semester i am paying 3,48,600 for bdes fashion communication course One time fee if 80000 has to be paid Scholarship is given but its only on tuition fee Tuition fee is 40000 Academic services fee is 132750 Infrastructure fees is 139250 Technology fee is 26500 Different courses have different fees

Campus Life

3

Pearl has different events being held all the time. Different dress up days also like bollywood day no bag day etc. it also has had movie nights etc.and sports day happens every year there is a huge library with alot of books to refer to. All classrooms have projectors and boards. Tech labs are different than normal classrooms There are many clubs and it is mandatory for everyone to join one

Admission

I applied to symbiosis institute of design pune and got in. I didnt choose it because sid is not that known for design. And after talking to students there i realised that the placements are not that good in SID. Whereas in pearl placements are very good. Also because i compared the courses in sid and oearl and oearl has a better fc course and faculty. I also appliead to nift and made it to the second round. But couldnt get in due to 50% seats being of reservation and also my situation teat going not so good. I applied to NID as well and scired a rank in 500's but NID has very high competition and only chooses oeople from ranks below 300 To get into pearl one must give an entrance exam and then a PI. The admissions are not that difficult as there is no reservation and u will get in based on ur merit

Faculty

5

Faculties are very nice and helpful. They are very experienced and help out as much as possible. The exam system is mid sem examination Then end sem examination End sem jury And end sem practical. It each has its own weightage. Exams are not that difficult or easy . Juries are tough so are practicals.

Interview Experience

5

There was a personal interview. In which they had asked for a portfolio. It was also a very chill interview in which they just asked u basic questions about yourself and why u have chosen the course etc. and they also answered any questions i had

Night Life

3

The college has a pool table a table tennis table darts carrom and different games one can enjoy. Cafeteria of the college is affordable. Outside college there are food joints and the rajouri market is literally across the road. There are many restaurants and clubs nearby too. College is inside a mall so there is a food court right outside of campus with dominoes theos etc

Other Applied Colleges

Symbiosis Institute of Design - [SID] | Bachelor of Design [B.Des] (Fashion Communication)

I didnt opt for this college as it is not that good for design and placement are cery bad

Placement Experience:

students get elligible for campus placement in the fourth year. Although have heard some students say to focus more on skills as working in a studio will be better than placement and have also not heard such good news about the amount of students getting placement. my plans too is to focus on skills more than the grades as that would be more helpful and is whats needed more for the career i am going for, instead of the marks i got on writing theory in my answer sheets

Placement Experience:

Speaking about placements I have very little knowledge about it as I am in first year, but after engaging with some really helpful seniors there has been a good hype in the campus placements and I've also heard very reputable companies have accepted students from this college. Also to mention the most important part of this college is it has a 99% placement program which really stood out to me, while talkin to the administrative staff my interest piqued when I heard there was a student who got 12lakh per annum placement opportunity

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I wanted to opt for something related to marketing side or more like something that requires digital work. The faculty:student ratio is 1:40 in my batch. My faculty is very knowledgeable. I have a good experience in teaching (not all but mostly) with them. The term exams are timely scheduled and it is not easy to pass a exam but it is not also very difficult. If you work consistently throughput the semester you would score a good grade in the end.
