A look into MCM DAV college for Women sector 36 Chandigarh

The curriculum I've chosen for myself proves to be a little challenging at hand right now but still, with the help of the teachers we clear our doubts and get back on to get good at the subject, choosing this was my own decision and I do not regret it one percent, being here at MCM we get ready for the real-life by making research papers and having the research centre within the college proves to be a good value to us.

The current internship that I'm informed about is the cyber security internship that is a government internship offered by Amit Shah and the students of our college are a part of this internship activities and they even attended the certification ceremony held at sector 17 where Mr. Amit Shah personally handed over the certificates to our students.

The Placement Cell organizes workshops and lectures on pertinent topics to equip the students with vital skills that enable them to be productive members of the organization that hires them. During the session 2017-18, more than 200 students were placed in a wide spectrum of reputed companies including Infosys, Wipro, Convergys, Tommy Hilfiger, Ernst & Young, Tech Mahindra, ICICI Bank, HT Media Ltd., Tata Strive, Concentrix, Go Air Airlines, IDSIL, Wise Media, Geeks Technical Solutions, eClerks, Exim Enterprises, Life Cells, Shaping Careers, and Cvent. Highest Package: Rs. 4.8 Lacs My plans after my bachelor's is to go Masters in Psychology

The commerce department holds a fennexus fest every year where they learn more about the business world through interactive activities, the college holds its yearly fest that is MERAKI which is a two day fest where students get to enjoy fun games, stalls, and safe and sound DJ nights. The College organises functions on every Diwali and Holi. The college has a volleyball and basketball team and there are many clubs in our college for every student like psychminions, art club, photography club, English clubs and mouch more

I got chosen in a Postgraduate government college for girls in sector 11. I didn't choose the college because the environment compared to that college is much more lively at MCM DAV and it sometimes seems to be too confusing for a student to reach out to the office area in PGGCG. The psychology department of our college is one of the best which made me choose MCM DAV college. The admission process at MCM is very easy through the college site. And students get selected on the merit base.

The faculty at the college is very nice, understanding and approachable, I personally like Dr. Bindu Dogra of Sociology department as she is very easy to communicate with and understands us students well, and also Ms. Tanisha of psychology department is also a very great teacher who makes it fun for us to be in the class. Every teacher at MCM strives build a bridge between us and the college and always motivates us to take part in extra curricular activities. The teachers conducts tests in class like the oral ones on weekly basis so that the students don't forget what they learnt in a week other than that we have our Mid-sem tests which are kept not too hard and not too easy to test the students understanding towards the subject.
