- Some faculties and people of responsibilities are corrupt
- No time to focus on extracurriculars, most of the time is utilised in academics
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is highly relevant and prepared as per IIT standard. Teaching methods needs to improve since faculties just read ppt without giving proper knowledge about some subjects, whereas some faculties can't even teach a subject due to their deliberate course take up. Exams are very difficult.
Internships Opportunities
Companies like Wells Fargo, Algo Quant Fintech, DE Shaw , Arcesium, Marvell, Deutsche Bank, Citi Bank are offering internships for the role if Associates, Software Engineers and also for Market Analysts
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for placements from 7th sem , i.e 4th year and in the first sem they get the high paying jobs and it goes on throughout the year. Most of the students get placed. Students get even 52 Lakhs, even 87 Lakhs from placements
Fees and Financial Aid
The year wise fees is nearly 1,25,000 Rs. while for SC/ST it is just 3500 Rs. And we require to fill scholarship for Getting the SC ST fees concession. And in my case I didn't fil la scholarship in the 1st and 2nd year hence I had to pay full fees which is 1,25,000 Rs for both years.
Campus Life
Technical fests is Mindspark and it has a very good footfall along with a Sports fest called Zest. Cultural fest happen too Named as Impressions whre big celebrities are called. Entrepreneurship fest is also there organised by Bhau E-Cell
Hostel Facilities
Hostel Quality is average, but not that bad. Mess food is also very good with a cafeteria. Hostel is alloted on the basis of Merit and it is affordable. Hostel life is chill and very good usually as different blocks are there for different year students
Admission
To be honest, the placements and Opportunities are really good and we get to form very meaningful connections here as well as improve our networking. MH-CET is required along with JEE to take admission to COEP.
Faculty
The course structure is generally easy, examination consists of one mid sem exam and one end sem exam. Marking scheme maybe relative or absolute marking with a 10 CGPA criteria. Faculties are good, highly qualified and supportive
