Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is vast and exhaustive. Although it could include.more recent area of studies( which are offered to learn through club activities). The Experiencial Learning is a good way of converting theoretical knowledge to practical life.
Internships Opportunities
Interview oppurtunities start after the 4th semester. Although, internships are encouraged from the starting of the course itself. For getting the best internship opportunity one just needs to be looking out for opening in companies and apply for as many positions as possible.
Placement Experience
Campus Placements are great. Most of the students get placed by they are in mid third year. Companies like Microsoft, SAP, Fivetran are top paying companies that visit the campus. More than 90% of students get placed by the end of their course. Highest packages offered are in the 60-70 LPA range offered by Microsoft and Fivetran this year. The placement drive starts from 4 th semester onwards and many students get their PPO during their internships itself.
Fees and Financial Aid
My yearly fee as a non- Karnataka student is Rs. 242565 including everything. Not much details regarding the fee structure. The management quota fee is around Rs. 6200000 for the whole course. I personally find it quite affordable, especially with all the financial aids offered by the college.
Campus Life
The flagship event in RVCE is called 8th Mile, a cultural and technical fiesta. Many top artists and performers in the industry are called to perform. Students from all over Bangalore come to this event. Their are plenty competitions for one to take part in. There are over 20 clubs in RVCE, both cultural and technical. Teams from these clubs continuously participate in flagship events all over India and are among the top competitors in the country
Admission
I really wanted to study AI, and RV is the best college in Bangalore that offers this course for Bachelors degree. I got selected for IIT Kharagpur in a 5 year M.Tech integrated course in Civil Engineering, but I instead opted to go with the recent trend for AI. Always the environment of Bangalore is the best.
Faculty
Faculty to student ratio is approx 1:20. The faculties are all Ph.D holders or pursuing their Ph D. Super friendly and always eager to help. There are some good professors like my counsellor Somesh Nandi, the most chill and helpful guy ever. There are total four exams each semester three CIEs and 1 SEE.
Interview Experience
No, my admission was done through COMEDK, an exam for students from outside Karnataka to take admission in Engineering colleges in Karnataka. The test had 180 questions all four marks and time given was 3 hours so roughly 1 minute per question. The question are easy to moderate.
Other Applied Colleges
