Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

Course curriculum is designed according to current education system but I personally don't prefer to present nep system as it has lot of subjects which are out of our subject also the faculties available are less for all these courses. But the curriculum prepares you enough for the real world application and academic pursuit only when there is enough faculties for teaching the subjects. The course curriculum was changed for us after 1 and half years as we came here for integrated pg but now we are learning for ba hons this was a disappointment for us. Course curriculum is good but the teaching staffs should be increased for our subject and also for other my friends from other department. Exams are kept according to professor convenience without much consideration to students. This give us mental stress and many other problems

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee I paid for first year total fee for odd semester was 25000 and for even semester it was 16200 . Tution fee was 3000 Registration fee - 300 Caution fee - 1000 Admission fee-nil Matriculation fee-100 Recognition fee-400 Sports fund -500 Medical examination /facilities -600 Library fund - 1500 Laboratory running/maintenance -2500 Amenities development - 6000 Student welfare fund - 600 Alumini association fund - 500 Cash on deposit -1000 Placement activity fee - 500 Academic activity find - 2000 Field visit - 2000 Digital activity fund - 2000 Medical insurance - 378 University development fund - 2000 These are the fee structure which is same for all categories but there will be reduction in fees when there is any extra fee to be paid. Scholarships are available for OBC and sc sts Most of this scholarship also sees the income of the students Single girl child is also available Egrantz are also available There is also Nsp Merit based scholarship is there

Campus Life

4

Overall experience is fine but not excellent when we see academics but the campus life and people here are nice and friendly. Most of all the festivals from all over india is celebrated here which includes holi,Pongal ,onam, Ganesh chaturthi, ugadhi etc..are celebrated many other celebrations are there including many student run activities. There are also many department run celebrations. Reading rooms are available till 3 am but the problem is this is not available on weekends as reading room closes early those days .Books available are wide in the library but outdated journals are good. Now new buildings are coming but these are not functional the old buildings are not maintained well. Classrooms have smart classes but not all classrooms. University have good sports and extracurricular activities this includes badminton, and many other activities. There are lots of clubs like dance ,music, all students can have equal participation also programs are conducted by them

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel facilities are ok .it takes time for each student to get hostel the whole process is exhausting.hostels are good 3 people in one room for both boys and girls.two cupboards and two tables for 3 students which must be increased to 3 . Also the toilets are also available enough. Meal quality is not much good but when we see the whole meal menu of a week it includes all enough vitamins and proteins needed for a person.menu includes chicken and egg twice a week for vegetarians it is paneer instead of chicken and kofta instead of egg. There is milk in the morning and also breakfast includes dosa , idly,Puri, upma it differs on different days.lunch is rice and chapathi is also available including curry and pappad. Registration process for hostel was tiring but most of the students will get hostel for sure.it is not much affordable to all students coming from different economic background. I am in hostel not rented a room but here pgs are available

Admission

The other colleges I got was Delhi University but I didn't went due to transportation issues and living expenses there also proximity was a problem. Pondicherry University was near to my state and also there is direct available to Kerala weekly twice. The exposure available here is good compared to the college i got in Delhi University which was Delhi college of arts and commerce u can have maximum interaction with students from different parts of country. Also the subject I got was political science which is also the one like compared to economics which I got in Delhi University. The admission is available here Clearing cuet exam this score is considered for admission.spot admissions are also available.cut offs differs to different subject my score was 130 and i came through spot admission here .

Faculty

2

Availability of faculties according to number of subjects are less since many subjects are taught by scholars . faculties always have less interaction with students they teach and go. All the professors are very good but the only problem I felt is their less interaction with students and the timings they keep exams as they only consider their availability for conducting exams. The implementation of nep was also hectic for current students. All the professors including Mr harsh Meena and Mr ritesh are really good. Also the hod of my department of political science Mr Nanda Kishore is also good.Only some guest faculties are little not good. There is 1 external and 2 internals for each sem. Most probably 3 or 4 students fails to clear the exam on each semester. Course is according to nep and designed according to modern education system

Other Applied Colleges

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose Ba. BEd. history because it has professional value and also helps int he upsc exams. The curriculum revolves around practical work such as in history we learn about museums, epigraphys, manuscript and also world history which gives us a upper hand in practical work. As for bed we cover basic pedagogy, psychology and teacher development and also practical sessions, Currently there is no need in any change as it already covers both practical and theoretical domains. The frequency of exam is vast and difficulty level is medium it would be great if there is a little gap between papers

Course Curriculum Overview:

The diversity in this course is a huge attraction but uni failed to executive this course properly and when it comes to teaching method french and law were quiet good very experienced proffesors are there and political science is somewhat ok but when comes to scholar literally they will be having some ppt and they read it out that's sit you just have to make note from what he read and what you heard that's sit Talking about exam timings french and law are good they complete their syllabus and keep exams on time. Political science dept they conducted exam for us at first as we requested later they repeated the same paper to their students which totally unfair History and sociology depts literally they allot the scholars in last 1 month of the semester and the whole teaching and exams including internals and externals were conducted and completed in one month along with assignment submissions
