Truths of Pondicherry university (PU)

As i am from Ba honours history. This course helps me out alot in getting to know my future well. It helps the people who are interested to join the research field and it also helps in preparing for the competitive exams as well. The exams sometimes tend to happen on time if the portion is finished on time and if not then they'll extend the dates according to their wish which makes students uncomfortable.

As i am from history, there alot alot of museums and companies which will take us as interns and teach us alot of stuff. Example dakshina chitra museum of chennai provides us a internship with stiffened of 10000 per month and alot other institutions as well.

There are placement opportunities in my department and in my university. Different departments have different MOUs from different Companies. Helping in the employment of the students and if you wanna prepare for competitive exams you are left out from that placements according to your wish.

Our tution fees and hostel fees are divided into 2 semesters for one academic year. And the payment need to be done on basis of fee structure. Our fee payment method is totally online which will be done in a portal called sams. Financial aid is provided by each department for their top 3 students and other scholarship apart from that are also accepted in the university. Cause i am from reservation category i am given little bit extra time for the payment of fees over other students.

I have experienced all kinds of emotions in this university, like happiness, sad, grief, thrilled and alot. This university life gives you a package of everything which helps in knowing the outer world much better.

Hostel accommodation is pretty good. They provides us with beds and cupboards and rooms shared with 2 other mates. But the food is very bad . The quality of food is very cheap and unhygienic. Any students who're atleast 60 km away from the university can avail hostel facility and enjoy the environment.

My top preferences were the university of Hyderabad, Pondicherry university, and central university of Karnataka. Out of there, I got admission into the Pu and CUK by merit list. But I was hoping for UOH, when I went there for admission, seats for my category were too less and were occupied by better students. Then I selected this university for its great ambiance and large campus which is beach-facing as well.

Theres approximately around 4 faculties per semester taking different papers for each semester. But some of them just come and read ppt but doesn't explain a single bit which most of the students find difficulty in. But there are other teachers who tend to explain alot better and help out the students. My favorite sir is dr. Ruman banerjee who taught me in 1st year and helped me alot.
