What Students Say

Likes

The infrastructure of the university is one of the best in east india. It has all facilities for sports and research and all other fields.
The teachers are also experienced and have good knowledge
There are 20-30 different societies which u can join and build ur social skills. The girls to boy ratio is 1:2

Dislikes

The crowd may be a problem for people who are from west and south because people over here are mostly bengali and bihari, so the cultural differences may be problem for few.
The hostel intime is very less for student which is bit problem for people

Course Curriculum Overview

If you have a back in any subject then u are allowed to give back exam at the end of every semester. If you get less marks is any subject you are allowed to give improvement exam at the end of the semester . The fees for back/improvement exam is 200? per subject. Normal mid semester exam timing is 1.5 hours and endsem exam timing is 3hrs.

Class Size: 80Course Fees: INR 1400000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure is 175000 per semester and 350000 per year and the fees is increasing every year. The registration fees is 75000 which gives you a laptop (a good quality laptop). The hostel fees depends on the type of of room you opt. Non ac fees is 28000, ac room is 50000 and ac premium is 72000.If anyone achieves a rank below 1000 in kiitee exam, they are given a scholarship of 420000 for years which means 52500 scholarship per semester.

Campus Life

The overall campus life is very happening, there is always one or the another thing going on, there are many events around the year. There are many societies based on different fields which students may choose on their own interest. There is a very big library of 5 storey for all the students in the college which has all the facilities. There is an annual fest of 3 days which includes many events and a star night. People interested in sports have a lot of facilities and the college promotes and organises national level sports event.

Admission

Kiit is one of the best colleges in east india and has a university ranking of 5 and btech school ranking is 40 all over india. It is the best in terms of infrastructure ,faculty. The campus is of over 6000 acres including everything. It has good placement revords and many companies visit kiit. The admission process starts with 75000 registration fees which includes a good quality laptop. They accept the college exam kiitee. If you make it top 4000 rankings you are assigned cse branch.

Faculty

There are 2 exams in 1 semester, 1 is midsem and 1 is endsem. Subject consists 100 marks (30 internals +20 midsem +50 endsem). There are total 8 semesters. The faculty is good and experienced but there might be accent problem with few faculty. The marking scheme is decent.

A well rounded campus life with industry oriented growth in college

Placement Experience:

placement at cv raman global university are good especially for cse/it . student becomes eligible from the 7th semester and compinies like TCS, infosys, wipro,capgemini, cognizant and ibm visit regularly. the highest package is around 15 lpa and average package about 4 to 5 lpa . aroud 80 to 90 % of cse/it student get placed. while non core branch recive fewer core offer but still get it/services opportunities. after my degree, i pland to start my carrier to higher studies for making me as a proffersor.

My Campus Life

Placement Experience:

After your 7th semi you will be eligible for campus placements Several reputed companies such as infosys,Wipro etc have visited our campus around my graduation time. The highest package offered was 6 LPA by infosys for the role of Data analyst while the average package stood at around 2.5 LPA to 3.2LPA . Approximately 60% or 6.5 CGPA secured students will be eligible for placements through campus drives. After obtaining my degree, I plan to Pursue higher studies like Mtech in a IIT'S or Niit hence i prepared for Gate 2 yrs .But meanwhile i was preparing for to get a job to take the responsibility of family so i started my carrer a a software developer.

The course is relevant enough to teach you all the basics you would require in engineering though some of the courses can be changed and in place of those new courses can be addded for example for non physics student teaching them quantum mechanincs and that too the old quantum mechanics doesent seem to make sense . KIIT has lost it's eminence and it's fame for quality education and good placement records

Placement Experience:

Placement record is not so good.. companies like Microsoft and Google have blacklisted KIIT due to poor performance and mismanagement by the KIIT in providing with the right candidates. KIIT shortlists students in basis of multiple tests taken on platforms like AMCAT and on that basics provides the profiles of best performing candidates to the companies invited for campus hirings regardless of the field and job specifications and requirements, so basically KIIT has a very below average performance Training and Placement Cell as they lack decision making and management skills to segregate candidates for hirings according to their skills and not by their general scores and CGPA. NOTE: Companies have shown least interest in KIIT for last 2 years and the poor performance of previous batches and mismanagement by KIIT authorities. KIIT promises 100% placements but that is actually far from reality.
