I liked that everyone can afford the courses in DU SOL
Conducted very well to distributing hard copy of study material to thousands of students on appointment basis to conduct exams very smoothly
Books are very interesting and knowledgeable

Dislikes

I think Number of classes are very low , which should be increased
Updates regarding college sometimes missed due to no proper communication

Course Curriculum Overview

In DU SOL there is no curriculum activities as much. We require to study at home and mostly attend online classes in lockdown. Sometimes college conducte programs like Rally , quizs etc. which students thinks quite boring to participate.

Class Size: 80Course Fees: INR 4200 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

I opt for SOL because , cutt off of general Category is very high that year and I also started my CA course along with college so focusing on my CA course I choose SOL .it is very economical. Average 4000 required in annually which includes exams fees, hard copy of study material online classes as well as offline classes weekly.

Campus Life

Overall experience was average. There is no social life in DU SOL, you require to stay at home. It provides only few classes which doesn't help you in socializing or any clubbing etc. We required to give exams in different colleges in Delhi , colleges infrastructure are awesome in Delhi University in different colleges for example - Aatma Ram snatan dharm clg , venkateshwar clg etc.

Admission

I choose this college due to high cutoff list in general Category. I didn't find my dream college so I decided to go with distance college. Than I started CA course and du Sol help me to focus on my CA course more

Faculty

Teachers are good , very knowledgeable. If they takes classes it's cover good amount of topics in very understanding manner. But the number of classes is very low. Exam happens twice in a year semester wise In very effective way in front of highly skilled examinor.

LIFE AS A DU SOL STUDENT

Course Curriculum Overview:

Since it is open learning university..they couldn't give us time.. because the class also got started 1 month before exam...and teachers had to finish...the syllabus. But they don't really care about us. And syllabus I think is okay .. in Commerce. It is updated.

Overall College life experience.

Placement Experience:

After completing 4 semester you are eligible to sit into on-campus placements i.e. after completing your second year. Companies start to arrive in final year or pre final year of you're going for 4 year degree. Big 4 companies like Deloitte, EY, KPMG, PWC and other companies like accenture, zomato, airtel can be seen in placement season. Average package is 4-5 LPA ranging from college to college and depends individual skill set and practical experience. Highest could go upto 22LPA in our college. Half of the students gets placed during the season but not all. After competition of degree students can pursue various courses like CA, CS or praper for CAT/GMAT.

This college is not good enough for upgrading skill and knowledge.

Placement Experience:

SSNC have a placement cell which provides internship details and also shat company hiring details. 3rd and 4th semester students are eligible for internship Highest average package is approx 12 LPA and average price is approx 5LPA and actually I don't know which company give the highest and to whom.

Students get placements in the last semester before the last exams as per my knowledge the average package is 4 to 5 lpa and highest package was 15lpa . Not all the students get placed from the college only the one's with good skills and some experience about the work are chosen.

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

I choose DU SOL over the other colleges because I feel this university provide everything that I want because I can get degree from this university and can also prepare for Government Exams because of time management .
