Likes

College has a very healthy environment...you'll find people who are ready to help and guide you.
In winter's ground becomes the heart of college.
Adding to that the faculty of English department is particularly very well accomplished and knowledgeable

Dislikes

The infrastructure of college can be a bit better...the wall needs to get revamped and painted.
The sound system of seminar hall needs an upgradation.
Teacher's are not very flexible with what children agree

Course Curriculum Overview

The process of what English Hons is in itself a very beautiful experience which, not only gives you a way for academic pursuits rather it teaches you how to love and be kind. I choose English because I was interested in learning the perspective of different readers and writers and I'm too very interested in writing poems and stories.

WTW , consultant jobs , tresvista , webpristine technologies , tata imagination challenge are major companies which are open to students through placement cell. WTW - 7 + , tresvista - 8 + (in jobs) not internships

Placement Experience

Third year students are eligible but as I'm in 2nd year I'm less aware of it.generally bcom students get jobs and direct placement. companies which visit are Deloitte, rsm etc..ignite is the placement cell

College provides students with scholarships and concession benefits if needed students are also awarded money, if they do well in their sems.1st and 2nd positions mainly, total cost of one year is 23480 .

Eligibility is 12 pass with cuet entrance, application forms and further details on csas portal + cuet form should be filled and exam should be given. Clarity should be there when forms are being filled.

Faculty

All the faculty members of English department are highly accomplished and knowledgeable personalities across the whole circuit of du.... interactions in class are healthy and boosting but overall analysis is that the environment lacks flexibility and understanding.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is something that can have improvements. For example I am studying C++ in my computer minor class which is becoming less and less relavent as compared to a lamguage like python. Alot of job prospects require students to know a language like R so I feel things like that should be taught so that the course cam make a student more real world ready.

DESHBANDHU COLLEGE BEST CHAPTER OF MY LIFE SO FAR

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course requires a lot of analytical and logical thinking. The scope is quite wide in my course without having any professional degree too like research, analytics, finance manager etc. This course gives opportunity to gain applied skills and as we are dealing with quantitaive aspects our statistics also gets better with time. Few improvements which i would like suggest are that their should more practical and real life knowledge, currently it is very theoritically heavy. Teaching online softwares must be compulsoury so that we remain updated with technology.

Placement Experience:

Placements of my college are pretty good. The placement cell of my college is pretty active and facilitataes the placement process. Companies like Deloitte, EY and PWC often come to our college for placements with the average package being Rs. 8,00,000. After getting this degree, i will pursure another degree in MBA or I might also take a part in the placement process and pursue an MBA later. Students in semester 6 and further can take part in the placement process but there are internship fairs and summer internship programmes for students who are not eligible for placements

The college is purely based on merit list except for the seat reserved for Sikh minority. However the crowd here is very mindful and cohesive.
