Likes

Smoothness of the total journey. Its completely hassle free. Each and every dept is very helpful.
The central library. Its so equipped that you need not to buy any books for your classes.

Dislikes

Class timing was from 9 am sharp. It was sometimes difficult especially in winter.
The invigilation was really very tough during semester exams.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is a modern made course that helps the students to become a professional Civil Engineer from a layman. There are useful practical sessions. Even there are also soft skill classes.

Placement Experience

In my dept there was a very nice placement season. There were a lot of companies who came for hiring. If one cant find any campus placement then they go for off campus also, many information related to off campus are shared by our college also.

Fees and Financial Aid

Im from the batch of 2020-24. At my time the fees of each semester was in between 42k-48k. But now it has increased upto 69k per semester. Our college accepts all the government approved scholarships (both the state govt and Central govt).

Campus Life

There are many club activities almost every days. And the grand events are now prothoma , teachers day and many more. There are drama club fashion club recitation club singing club rotaract club innovation club and many more.

Admission

I choosed on the basis of the NIRF ranking of this college and the faculty members. The campus atmosphere amd the canteen also made a great importance for me to choose this college. The admission process is through the councilling process and some seats for management quota.

Faculty

The faculty-to-student ratio was almost for 16 students there is 1 teacher. In my dept I liked SK sir, PBC mmam, RR sir,PS sir, CB maam, BS maam and sudipa maam dipika maam the most. There were 4 surprise test of 10 marks each and a semester exam for each paper.

IIT KGP: The kgpian way

Placement Experience:

4 yr btech students are eligible for cdc internship from the starting of their 3rd yr(5th sem) and for placement 7th sem. 5 yr dual degree students are eligible for cdc internship from the starting of 4th yr(7th sem) and for placement 9th sem. So many different profile companies came for placements like amazon, google, ibm, apple, l&t, wipro, infosys, texas intrument, etc. Highest package was 3cr and average is about 20-25 lakhs. Insightful Review - Revealing about campus life and academics.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements from 7th semeter. Companies visited till now are : tejes - 9lpa, keysite - 7lpa, streebo - 5lpa and a few other product based companies with average pakage offered about 3lpa. Higest pakage - salesforce (32 lpa) off campus, keysite (7lpa) on campus. Last year 60% of total students from final year got placed. My plans is to purusue a higher degree as placement scene of your college is not that great and also i have intrest in ai/ml so i want to study future and dive more deep into its concepts

The collage provides good enough placemnets with highest package is 16 LPA and lowest is 1.5 LPA and avg pakage is 4.65 LPA. Companies like Wipro, tech Mahindra, IBM, Visteon, Bentley etc. 85 % of total students gets placed every year

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is not that different from other colleges. At the beginning or 1 st semester we are made to complete the bridge course which basically includes stuff we read in classes 11 and 12. But then also they can't teach properly the already read topics.

I applied to plenty of state engineering colleges and only made it to UIT, BU which has awful facilities and a good ragging culture. So I opted out and went to a private college. Among private colleges, as far as I know, WB, IEM and Heritage are considered to be better. IEM's strict uniform code, zero campuses made me choose Heritage over IEM. The admission process is 1) Through West Bengal Joint counselling, which I went through, 2) Management Quota. I have also applied in other states college like satyabhama of Chennai by giving the entrance and JEE mains for NIT and IIT and I have also give the webjee exam my score is quite good and and I have chosen this college over other colleges because of its number one college in the West Bengal and it have quite good campus comparison to others West Bengal colleges. My JEE score was not that good and my webjee score is quiet good so I prefer the college that is best comes with my score.
