Likes

The Training and Placement Program is great
They also teach beyond the btech course, with trainings on soft skills, aptitude, advance technologies, etc.
Subsequent reviews are conducted with HODs as well as director principal.

Dislikes

Perhaps, the infrastructure can be improved.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum includes all relevant coursework of CSE fundamentals like - Data Structures and Algorithms, - Object oriented programming, - Operating Systems, - Wireless communication, - AI, ML, - Web technologies, Etc. Overall, the topocs are in depth and very interesting.

Many big tech companies like Google, Amazon, Flipkart, etc. Visit our campus. Service based companies like Wipro, IBM, Accenture, L&T, etc are also active recruiters from the campus drives. Many startups like ScalerAcademy, Hiremi, etc have also visited.

The placements are nice. Most people got placed in the last few years. Many people had multiple offers as well. The average package is around 8 lpa Highest package for 2024 was 54 LPA. Service based, product based and even startups hire from CEC.

Fees and Financial Aid

Per semester tuition fee is 45000 Admission fee was 10000 (One time pay) Each semester also has an exam fee of 1000-1500 When i joined college, i also paid some fee for uniform. (Depends on size of the individual)

Campus Life

Campus life has been a blend of academic as well as co curricular activities. I have been active at coding ckubs as well as been into public speaki g. I have participated and won various technical and non- technical competions. Overall, it has been a very engaging experience.

Admission

Well, I chose this college because: - It was closer to home - The fee was economical - History of placements was good - Seniors gave a good review I also applied at TIET Patiala, I chose not to go there as I was getting ECE, but i wanted CSE.

There are around 50 faculty in the CSE department. The students are divided into groups of 30-35, each group has its own class counsellor. The exam pattern is as follows: 2 Mid semester exams 1 end semester exam

The curriculum changes as per the need of the industry norms so that student can attain knowledge about the basics as well as the niche technologies.This is the aspect to choose the course and the lab work and continuous competitions help us with the industry trends. The management could be improved. The frequency of exams help us learn well and difficulty is between easy to medium.

Placement Experience:

Only skilled or quality are able to get placed. Usually onwards 6th or 7 th semester, students can be eligible depending on the performances. I can do a job if I like to work there. If not, I will do more internships to get hands on experience.

Placement Experience:

Placements are really great of our college as its avg pakage is of 11 lac from computer related branches. Girls are eligible in second year for inters and for boys its generally from 3rd year because of the reservations.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

I chose Chandigarh Engineering College Laundry over the other due to its strong placement record affordable structure and good industry connections first up I applied to Chitkara University and Lovely Professional University but found C see more cost effective with a well structured curriculum.
