Our college has a soothing environment with parks which are our go to place during breaks
Library of our college is well maintained. There is a proper reading space for students .
Our college canteen food is quite good compared to other colleges

There is a language barrier as most of the teachers are from south and doesn't know Hindi

Course Curriculum Overview

I am pursuing chartered accountant and bcom hons syllabus greatly aligns with chartered accountant course . So it is quite manageable to pursue both of them together. Diffultly of tests is easy to moderate. One can easily score good marks by studying last minute.

Our placement cell is quite active and provides students with many internship opportunities. Over 300 internship opportunities were provided to students last year and top recruiters were Deloitte , PWC , KPMG , Accenture , de shaw etc

Placement Experience

In 2023 placement season highest salary package of our college was 21 lpa and average package was 5.3 lpa . Top recruiters were big 4 companies (Deloitte,kpmg, Pwc , Ey) around 60 percent of the eligible students secured placement during recruitment drive .

Fees and Financial Aid

I paid16000 for the year during admission process . It is quite affordable compared to private institutions and other du colleges but this year they have increased fees to 20000 which is a huge leap and I think it will be raised at same pace in future

Campus Life

Our college fest 'nexus' is one of the best fest of Delhi University. Last year mohit chauhan was the main artist of the fest . Apart from fests societies of our college are quite active . They provide required exposure to students and help them grow

Admission

To get into Sri Venkateswara College, I had to go through a hectic process of cuet exams and ofcourse my first preference was Sri Ram college of commerce but I couldn't get into due to less marks . Nevertheless I am happy with my college as it has great faculty , great environment and great infrastructure

Faculty of our college is quite friendly and supportive they encourage us to do our best and also provide us career guidance. Exams are held twice a year . One in semester 1 and another in semester 2 .

Fun life at college

Course Curriculum Overview:

Bcom. Hons curriculum prepares you well for real world experiences also. Like i learned tally and excel during my 2 year of college. I think teachers should combine theoretical knowledge with more practical experiences and practical knowledge. Exams usually completes in 1 month and the timings mostly for core exams are 9:30am-12:30pm. Exams ate easy, just do pyqs in a well good manner

The Placements in my college are mostly limited to marketing, HR and basic level Finance Jobs. You could expect a Decent placement of 4-6 lacs in your last semester. In your previous semester you could apply for internships. However not everyone gets placed.

Great place to earn knowledge!!

Placement Experience:

Many banks and accounting firms and Big 4 which have become potent when it comes to placements are the ones who offers placements. The best part is that post Covid, the inflation has gone up and so are the basic salary norms too as all studenys are offered in the range of 5-7 lakhs annually.

I choose SVC over other colleges as getting into Delhi University is itself is very difficult. Over lakhs of students apply but only a few of them get selected as DU provides the exposure and real life experience over any other private university. I live in PG and my college is just a few minutes away from it like just 5 mins so i save the travel expenses as well. I didn't get any rejection from any college. DU is my only focus and i knew that i will make to DU but i have applied the my state university as my back. I got venky in my 1st allotment and its a very high raking college so knew that its the only college for me. I didn't go for upgrade because i got very bad feedback for Ramjas college so i decided to stay in SVC only. Eligibility: 12th pass with good CUET score(700+) for B com students CUET is the only exams that Delhi University accepts. So scoring above 650+ is enough to get into DU. The process of admission is very tome consuming as first you have to fill the CUET form and then register into CSAS portal which is the gateway to get into DU and after the aplliaction you will get your 1st allotment with a month. Application process was not very complicated but in fact it was pretty decent. Students under NEP were admitted on the basis of CUET Scores. Cut off for this course and college was around 710/800 in cuet which is common university entrance test. This college is very good compared to other colleges. It is literally called the SRCC of south campus. The crowd here is very good, every students gets to learn something new from here. Venky is somewhere you can have the proper College life

I also applied to st xaviers Kolkata but it was too strict and too much like a school for me and a good college experience can definitely be had in Delhi university.Also, the fees of my college is very minimal as compared to the rest of the private colleges.The admission process of my college was included with all the others of Delhi university.I filled a preference sheet of colleges after getting my Cuet score and I got my 6th preference at 752/800 and I am honestly happy about it....Read More
