Remarks

The practical knowledge imparted is good and up to date. there is a lack of co-curricular activities. The management of the college is very good. Events, exams, and placements are handled very aptly by the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course curriculum involves bifurcation of subjects. The first semester includes general studies of all the branches of forensic science. the remaining 3 semesters are based on specific studies, based on the specialization opted. There are two internal exams followed by an external exam. The course us relevant and involves various hands-on experiences. The availability of mostly all the equipment helps in ensuring better practical experience.

Placement Experience

4

The placement cell for criminology is better than that for forensic due to the lack of privatization of the sector. The internships available include some with Truth labs, and other document examination labs.

College Events

2.5

The events include freshers, farewell, and sports event organized by the university. The freshers and farewell events are organized every year for each new batch and each passing out batch. The sports event is organized by the university and a team of selected students represents the college in the tournament organized by the university.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The total fees for the two consecutive years are 60,000. This includes all the expenses, tuition fees, library, lab, and another fee. The yearly bifurcation of the fees is 30,000 per year. There is no extra fee for examination. The re-evaluation of examination costs students an amount of upto 1000Rs.

Fees and Financial Aid

No, I did not opt for any loan or scholarships. There are no specific scholarships or education loans available by the college.

Campus Life

5

The campus life is averagely happening. The gender ratio favors the female students, as there are more female students than male students. The labs are very much equipped with most of the equipment required for practicals. These equipment are in good working condition. The co-curricular activities are lesser in number but are good.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network is mostly setup among the students themselves. Any official alumni network is not present in the college. It is present at the university.

Admission

The admission process involves sitting through a common entrance test, which involves questions from various branches of forensic sciences. The test also involves questions from basic sciences, like chemistry, biology, and physics. The application for the entrance exam begins from Feb to May. The entrance exam is conducted by the end of May.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty of the college includes some really experienced professors. the guest lecturers invited are also highly experienced in their field of expertise. The H.O.Ds of most of the departments are professors who have been working in the field for many years.

Campus placements are offered but I am still in my first year so I have no idea. Students usually go for higher studies (PhD) after master's. Clearing entrances becomes a task. They d offer campus placements it's not that intense as it should be.

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for placements in the last semester. Primal Group, Allen Career Institute, Akash Institute, etc a lot of companies came for placement. This is a time of recession. So, very few students get placements. My plan is to join the coaching industry as a teacher after my degree.

I chose chemistry because when I was 12, I was fond of chemistry. I found it more interesting than physics. All I want to say is - C for colourful H for high in demand E for eagerness always M for mysterious I for interesting all-time in all moods S for symbolic T for table R for rhythmic Y for youthfulness Faculty: students - 3:5 Almost all of the professors have completed their postdoc from foreign and have a lot of experience in the teaching field. This time it is a bit hectic bcz of 2 minors and 1 major but I am happy with this.

Placement Experience:

From final year onwards students become eligible for placements. There are lot of companies like Accenture, flipkart, Amazon, HSBC, etc which offer 5-10 students. The highest package was 50lakhs -1Cr and average is 9- 15 LPA. Usually much students get placed from our college. But this year the percentage is very low could be due the firing of freshers and fear of corporate companies to hire freshers. I Will go for the placements which is still going ( second season ).
