Course Curriculum Overview

5

My college comes under a calicut university. The curriculum is prepared according to the syllabus of competitive exams that a student can participate after the course completion. As i am a post graduate student i can say my curriculum is according to the NET syllabus. So i can say that students of my college can easily clear those competitive exams

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

I got admission for M.Sc chemistry in zamorins guruvayurappan college through calicut university single window system. It was my first priority college.I paid around 15000 rupees as a whole for caution deposit, library fee, admission fee etc..as it comes under aided college category there is no tuition fee,we just needed to pay exam fee accordingly. But there are concessions in fee as per our caste and financial status.there are many students in the college who utilized this concessions.

Campus Life

5

The college campus is vast.many malayalee writers completed their degree from this college.the college plays an important role in moulding social behavior in ones life.there are many programs conducted by college union.moreover recently the college became a centre of attraction for film industry to promote their film

Admission

Admission process was simple.i applied through the single window system of calicut university. The eligibility of the course is having a bachelor's degree in the corresponding subject.the applications can be made by online mode.reservations are available according to the caste anf financial status.over all Admission process is simple and less time consuming.

Faculty

5

Faculty students ratio is perfect according to my opinion. The mode of teaching is purely student centric. The college was actually built about 100 years back.faculties mainly focus on the academic and extra curricular progress of the students and they provide necessary instructions accordingly. Teachers are easily available to anyone in the campus

Placement Experience:

Students are given internships and those who excel well in the internships often get placed in the same company. Sometimes placements are clashed for both Science and Engineering students and the better one gets placed. Many startups prefer our college and our Dean has link with many startups. Based on the core companies, several core companies are seen here and on average 12LPA is the salary and mostly every student gets placed here and I will do my phD after this course and Im not into getting placed. unilever biocon bharath biotech sunpharma these are the big giants that took students with good package

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is much dry and old class. I was interested in Environment studies and that made me choose this department. But when it comes to real world application, we are not prepared. But the accessibility and availability of lab equipments are impressive and appreciative. Teaching methods needs to be much more interesting and effective. Exams are conducted with only one day break in between, which is exhausting. But their difficulty level is moderate.

I was interested in Physics, and I want to pursue Ph.D. in physics. That's why I choose MSc Physics. All most of all faculties are Ph.D. holders and qualified NET lecturership. Most of the teachers take classes using multimedia presentations, Seminar session was allotted for us to improve our teaching abilities. The semester exam was conducted every six months and the result was published within one month after the exams. In my batch students were passed all semester exams.

Remarks:

I have chosen this course because I am always passionate to learn chemistry. I want to explore it by doing research in my future. This is one reason for which I have chosen chemistry. Central University is a very good place to study because all faculty members are researchers. About 2-3 cultural events are organised per month. Sports oriented students can also go for different sports. The campus is provided with Led lights for night time. Students also get scholarships from university and also DST scholarships are also available.
