the nature and infrastructure of this area is very beautiful
transportation here is very good since they run buggies all over institute
its like a city in here, we can get anything we want here, and its in the heart of mumbai

Dislikes

getting here to iit bombay from central railway station is hectic and confising
we got less amount of girls here nah man
the mess food gets boring after some days

Course Curriculum Overview

courses are well versed with students understanding and are very friendly with every mind. I really like how they teach everything around engineering and about the world lik finances, geography, VLSI designs. Overall it is dependent on studentd wether they see it or not

Class Size: 100Course Fees: INR 200000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

the semester wise fees we are paying is 120000 so per year 240000 (academic fees), 44000 year wise hostel/mess fees, SC/ST students dont need to pay tution fees so they pay 40000 academic fees per year and 44000 hostel/mess fees per year. merit cum need students dont need to pay tution fees too.

Campus Life

The campus life overall is very good, very well surrounded by city and is situated in heart of mumbai. There are many clubs outside the campus and not to tell you about mumbai's marine drive which is love for everyone. Night drives here are the most relaxing with friends

Admission

I was addimitted here through jee advanced. After taking exam they told us to register for josaa which is joint seat allocation depending on people's ranks. It had different reservation benefits like SC/ST/ women. I dint like them not being totally transparent and clear with students

Faculty

they are very good, actually not much into student's personal life. They just come, teach and go, have very good spoken english(helpful for exchange students). Very well qualified and they need to be appreciated more on god

Overall review of my college life in VIT Pune

Placement Experience:

The Training Placement Office Logins are given to us in the third year of the college where alot of companies gives opportunities to apply for the said job role or internship. Approximately 5 to 10 companies visits are there every month which increases as you enter your final year of college.

After 1st year student can openly apply for internship, theon campus internship is avaliable after 4th Sem. The highest amount goes to Quant Finance and more than 75% gets placed for in-campus. The highest pakacemet was INR 3cr for the Quant profile.

Placement Experience:

From the 6th semester the students are eligible for campus placements. Many companies visit this college like Infosys, Calfus , Amazon , UBS, Crowdstrike. In case of no campus placements, one can try research internship offered by college.

My experience at VIT pune

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible to apply for placement is after 2 year or at 5th semester. And companies that have visited are Morgan Stanley, TCS, JP Morgan, etc. and many others. Basic package is about 7 lacs per annum which I consider as okay for freshers. And the student which got highest is 26 lac per annum as he was one of the brightest student of the college. I think 50 to 60 percent students get placed more or less maximum are low package students. My plans are different than doing job so not applied at any of the job.

Students are eligible for placement from the third year itself for ppo and so. There are several companies visiting thakur around the year and there are a lot who get placement off campus too. I have heard a student from comps got into google at 72lpa. you can visit the tnp site for more detail.

placements are pretty decent here, especially for comp/it students. The average package here is around 12 to 14lakh, college provide on campus placements too, our placement cell is pretty hardworking. almost 97 to 99% of students get placed here.

All BTech and MTech students can apply for offcampus placement if required but there sufficient oncampus placements and almost all students get placed.Companies visiting for computer and IT are tcs, infosys, capgemini, cognisant, Nvidia, IBM, etc Total 42 offers were made computer branch and 52 offers for IT branch. The percentage of placements is 80%.

I did applied for iit delhi also as it was my home town but got IIT Bombay as it was much better for me because of placements and brand value. IIT BOMBAY REVIEW

so i did fill for other college but yes iit bombay was my 1st preference so i got it and acc to my rank i was gettinng into iit bombay very easily but to be on safe side i added more option . so i have cleared jee advanced to get here . for mtech you have to pass gate . the admission iprocess is impler only its mostlyy digital.cutoffs of jee adv is obviously very high due to number of student who wnt to go in iit and number of studnet who get selected there is huge difference so dropper increases ....Read More
