Likes

The campus is extremely scenic and quite beautiful
The infrastructure of the campus is quite nice
The accomodation for hostels is very nice

Dislikes

The food provided is quite unappetizing.
Distance between hostels and department is too far.
There is no facility for proper transportation.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course structure is extremely relevant to every competitive exam . Care has been given to give equal importance to both theory and practical exams . Syllabus can be followed more effectively. Examination are conducted frequently and presentations are also provided.

Class Size: 31Course Fees: INR 24000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Currently the year wise fees is 11,250 for even semester of PG students. For hostel the fees is 18,474 for even semester. SC/ST students are exempt from hostel fees. Scholarships are not provided by the college for meritorious students.

Campus Life

Campus Life is moderate. Sometimes festivals by various departments are organised. Regular dance competition and various extra curricular activities also occur here . Various clubs are present for different hobbies and interests.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility is quite nice . Every student is provided a hostel. However distance between each hostel is quite far and not walkable. Hostel is not affordable for everyone. Here expenditure is on the higher side.

Admission

Admission process was quite easy. All details can be found in the website. Registration was done in the Samarth portal . The examination for admission was through CUET- PG. Admission process can be a bit more easier.

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is around 1;5 . They are quite well educated. However some teachers are not punctual and course may not be completed all the time . Faculties are quite approachable and friendly and provide good advice

My Experience: The good and the Bad

Course Curriculum Overview:

I liked this biotechnology course in degree(Bsc) and i wanted to continue this course with higher studies. Hence this university is reputed one in Karnataka.. i choose this one and I got the seat and I am very happy for this. The teaching methods are really good but it depends on particular lecturers, how they teach .. For main sem exam the time was around 3 hours for 70 marks and it was moderate and can be manageable

Our college provide very fantastic placements , in every year they invited two or three companies in our college to get placements us.In last semester the students are eligible for for campus placements.Shilpa biological industry, biocon industry both company are offered the placement in last year. they told they provide highest packages 800000 rupees per year and averages 400000 per year . In our department , 2 to 3 students are getting palcements. after i completed my degree , i want to research so i admitted in phd programmes.

BU needs more Improvement

Placement Experience:

After 3rd sem, we are eligible for campus placements. There'll be job drive for around 1 week where we get to attend. Commerce students get more opportunities rather than Botany students but nevertheless we get to work in medical feilds depending on interviews

I applied for a few Central University based on my entrance marks. But i couldn't able to make into other colleges due to shortage of marks.
