Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

Here curriculum is not that much bad. But there are 2 internal exams and whole day class, and sometimes teachers are not taking classes and our time is being wasted in class room. Exams are not that much difficult.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

I have done summer internship in Central Mine planning and Design Institute, Bhubaneswar which comes under Coal India. There is no facility for stipend. I did internship on mine planning project. We went Talchir coal field. It was a great experience.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fee -13500 Caution fee-1740 Admission fee-1000 Extracurricular fee- 600 Library fee-1600 Lab fee- 2000 Computer lab fee-600 Exam fee-1200 Health centre fee-1000 NSP scholarships ,SC and ST scholarships

Campus Life

3.5

Campus Life is good here. Onam is celebrated in October month. Ankur festival is also celebrated. Every state people celebrate their special festival here in a pomp and ceremony. ACs are available in classrooms. Books are there in the college library.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel facilities include tables, cots, bunkers, fan, lights, wifi etc. Meal. The quality is not that good but it's adjustable. In menu it includes samber, alu, brinjal fry, dahikadi, rice, chapati, buttermilk, egg etc.The registration process is available in website of the University.

Admission

Admission process is okay. But nowadays the authorities are taking admission fee by challan in offline mode which is difficult for a student to come and pay in physical mode. If it will be online then it is good. I took admission by Common PG Entrance Test CUET . For taking admission you have to keep more than 55 percentage of the entrance exam total mark. Yes, there are some relaxations for reservations during admission

Faculty

2.5

In my Geology department, there are 6 faculties and in my class, there are 31 students. Some faculties are good and some are not good. Their teaching style is not that much good. While giving marks, there is favoritism and partiality. I interact with them when I have some doubts regarding the study.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Food and nutrition articles in newspaper made me to take this course. As it had full scope in that time. Actually curriculum is very poor in preparing us for real world application. Practical session must include more of industrial visits and projects related to industry. We had enough time to study .

Hence this university is reputed one in Karnataka.. i choose this one and I got the seat and I am very happy for this. The teaching methods are really good but it depends on particular lecturers, how they teach .. For main sem exam the time was around 3 hours for 70 marks and it was moderate and can be manageable

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is fairly distributed among the 2 years. The first year broadly covers the course work, and learning of the laboratory techniques. Followed by a mini project and a major project under a professor of interest. Stem cell biology always intrigued me and this course offered exactly what I want. The curriculum focuses on training students very rigorously to make them fit for harsh conditions and situations in the real research world.
