What Students Say

Likes

It is located far from the city, so that calmness and green atmosphere we can get here.
Presentation skills and report writing skills were improved.
Our communication skills will improve, even though the language exposure is less here compare to other universities.

Dislikes

Library is not that much resourceful. We really need more books for taking references .
Field work exposure is less than comparing to other universities, no field visits at all.
Primary health centre was not working properly, availability of medicines are very poor. Services also not good.

Course Curriculum Overview

Curriculum is stick on to the outdated syllabus. Practical experience is missing. Theoretical knowledge is getting but practice is missing there. In this competitive world, we can't survive with this basic knowledge. Technological advancements are lacking and we are poor in managing it.

Class Size: 30Course Fees: INR 20000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Category:obc Admission fee one time:1000 Caution deposit one time:1740 Computer lab fee:600 Sports,exam fee and Library fee:600 Helath centre:500 Student welfare fund:600 Tution fee : total paid amount nearly 20000 yearly. It is changing and increasing.

Campus Life

Student welfare clubs are not functioning properly. So the students problems are not addressed. Mess and hostel facilities are troubling the students. It effect students physical health. frequent works are assigned which effect students mental health also. Accessibility of books are less.

Hostel facilities are troubling the students. Food providing by the mess is poor in quality. hygiene issues are faced a lot. Rooms are congested with more people. The issues are not solved immediately it take time. Menu also sometimes students are not adjusted to items. Students are getting physically weak. Appetite problem are increasing day by day.

Hostel Fee: INR 20000 per year

Admission

Any degree background can pursue msw. Application form are published in the main site itself, it is easy to access. Application fee is little high. Reservation benefits and other scholarship details are not given. Admission process done quickly. Through personal phone call, they connect with us and share the details. In our time all was done through CUK app, in my observation i found that it is not working now. So the new students are facing difficulties in paying fees.

Faculty

Faculties are professionals. Interaction in class rooms are happening. Presentations and assignments are regularly given and monitored by them. Personal favourism and personal grudge is going with some teachers also. They maximum try to complete their portions in right time. Apart from the syllabus they share their experiences and assistance.

Course Curriculum Overview:

iam sure this is only the couse that we can work with communities and social worker serve the people with humbleness. it learns to how to mingle with society, how to face the society and how to take challenges in positive way. improvement areas are field works, some students are not attend field work properly faculty has check with organization heads or HOD. Everything is good if students learn for exam. no difficulties in any exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum will help me good but the thing is iam doing in masters in social work dept it means theory should 50percent then practice knowledge should be 50percent but the thing is heare we sare not getting any field workonly for5days Camp in the 1styear rather than that we didn't getting any field work from the department.Actually I took these course is I need practice based paper so I need to involve with the people with involvement I can learn from them what are the problems are facing by them actually I need I really like to study about people's problems but here we are not getting any field exposure to learn.My suggestion is for department they should conduct a field work in week atleast 2days should be their for field work pratice department should take the students.They should follow strictly on the syllabus becouse as per syllabus department should provide us field work in some places mentioned in the syllabus.ThenI asked to teacher then he replied to me you know kannada

Unlocking the Real World: CUK

Course Curriculum Overview:

Some papers need to be updated and should include topic related to current issues and more discussions are need to be conducted in the classroom that improves the critical thinking of the students. For Social Work course field exposure is very relevant and important to increase the knowledge of the trainee. But the department is not providing any field exposure to the trainees according to their specializations. The only field experience students are getting from the one month block placement/ internship, but that is not enough for the students.

Tour of CU in the field of MSW

Placement Experience:

From the third semester, the students become eligible for campus selection and students are given support from the faculty members to join certain NGOs to work with. This makes the students develop their skills and learn new things by working with them. Students often end up working with these NGOs after finding the experience with them as productive. But Christ doesn't have many placements for the MSW course.

It's one of the good university in India

Remarks:

The university atmosphere is very nice and tge The university atmosphere is very nice and the and the Structure of the university is really awesome. The March and April time weather is not that much good , very hot around a 45° celsius hot. The administrative section Is not properly working.
