Course Curriculum Overview

1.5

The curriculum will help me good but the thing is iam doing in masters in social work dept it means theory should 50percent then practice knowledge should be 50percent but the thing is heare we sare not getting any field workonly for5days Camp in the 1styear rather than that we didn't getting any field work from the department.Actually I took these course is I need practice based paper so I need to involve with the people with involvement I can learn from them what are the problems are facing by them actually I need I really like to study about people's problems but here we are not getting any field exposure to learn. My suggestion is for department they should conduct a field work in week atleast 2days should be their for field work pratice department should take the students. They should follow strictly on the syllabus becouse as per syllabus department should provide us field work in some places mentioned in the syllabus.ThenI asked to teacher then he replied to me you know kannada

Fees and Financial Aid

The actual amount for master degree is 171100 from these ammount I paid tution fees in 1st year 27000 then addmission fees is 500 then mess fees is different I paid for mess in 1st year 26000 then in 2nd year from August to December I need to pay 15600. Then special fees are I have field work for that I paid 8000 then summer placement I need to pay 20000 then again black placement 20000 then dissertation 5000 then extra circular activities1200 then the total mess fees will be 46000 ammount exam fees will be 2400 book and study materials 14500 then I paid for the laptop and Accentures 30000 then my friends also paid slightly the same as for me. I applied for NSP scholarship

Campus Life

2.5

In central university of Karnataka I have good and very bad experience also according to facilities I had had felt about that. And these University will not celebrate much festivals in library iam not getting what teachers telling books are very less not their. In library very very poor facilities are there. There is no sufficient seats for students to set. There is no good facilities in that library very less facilities are providing timings also very bad

Admission

I applied for cute entrance examination, and then after getting results again, we need to apply for separate universities that I want to go to, but these processes are not good because actually I don't know about these new things, and also I need to pay a larger amount for separate universities; it will be a huge money expense for the students. According to eligibility, social work is a multidisciplinary course any degree holder can apply for. This Central University of Karnataka should improve on more in technology to introduce better and good technology to convey message to the students in better way

Faculty

2

There will be positives and negatives opinions are there actually other central euniversities have faculty evolution before appearing into their end semister examination but here their is no proper system their is no good facilities also yes faculty teach ok not that much effective teachers. Actually in social work dept they should provide us field work but here these Central University my faculty is telling us to do in my home town they are telling me to language is barrier so for that they are not providing us any field work. Yes they have good skills on technology they will teach for us also that's good thing. Teachers will judge the students also it so bad and effect the students behaviour. Some time they will give over burden works very rare teachers have the food communication skills yes some times faced the caste discrimination. They won't invite from other University professionals always they will suggest to students should not involve in any other activities only stick to syll

Course Curriculum Overview:

Some papers need to be updated and should include topic related to current issues and more discussions are need to be conducted in the classroom that improves the critical thinking of the students. For Social Work course field exposure is very relevant and important to increase the knowledge of the trainee. But the department is not providing any field exposure to the trainees according to their specializations. The only field experience students are getting from the one month block placement/ internship, but that is not enough for the students.

Placement Experience:

From the third semester, the students become eligible for campus selection and students are given support from the faculty members to join certain NGOs to work with. This makes the students develop their skills and learn new things by working with them. Students often end up working with these NGOs after finding the experience with them as productive. But Christ doesn't have many placements for the MSW course.
