Course Curriculum Overview

3

The curriculum is very good of chirst university, the faculties tries their best to keep students update about what is happening in India and the world and they connect that with the curriculum. But CHRIST should really take their faculty on the basis of their teaching experience and not on research papers, because many faculty are there just to use resources of university to publish their paper and does not care about teaching.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

For law school, no companies but several chambers internships was there. We were getting invited to send our applications to a lot chambers for internships and some of them included stipend, the minimum stipend that they were giving was around Rs. 5,000.

Placement Experience

3.5

From 9th semester the students will be eligible for campus placements The top law firms that visited the campus are SAM, CAM, trilegal, khaitan & co etc I guess the highest package this year was around 20LPA and the average package was 7LPA The faculty co-ordinators of recruitment committee works very hard and they try their very best to get all the students placed somewhere, so the percentage is very high. My plans after getting the degree to join litigation in Delhi

Fees and Financial Aid

So for the first 3 years the fees of other states students is 1,95,000 ruppees per year and for the 4th and 5th year the fees is 2,15,000 ruppees. For Karnataka students, for the first 3 years the fees is 1,70,000 ruppees and for thr 4th and 5th year the fees is 1,90,000 ruppees. University offers scholarship on the besis of merit and extraordinary co-curricular achievements.

Campus Life

4.5

There are several ways to enjoy in the campus and there are a lot of clubs that you can join. There are several dance teams and several dramas team (theatre and street drama). Major events are inbloom and blossoms which are generally held in the month of February-March. One event is Darpan which will happen at the starting of the odd semester. And the most famous event of christ University.

Admission

Eligibility: anyone can apply after 12th (from any stream) One can find the application forms etc. on the christ University offical website. The admission process was easy only, first it was mcq test which was easy and after that there was personal interview and micro presentation. If you qaulify then they'll assign you a campus.

Faculty

2.5

The faculty to student ratio is okaish, some faculty are very good but some faculty are really bad, they just come and will read through the PPT and just likes to punish students so they can get respect from students.

Interview Experience

4

There were no group discussion but only a personal interview in which they'll ask all the basic questions about you and the course you want to join. There were no written test but a mcq test. Just watch any video of basic interview skills and you will be good to go. The topics for micro presentation will be related to the recent events (so your gk and current affairs should be strong)

It's the law firms like Wadia Gandhy, Dsk Legal, Trilegal and others. Some merchant bankers too are now a part of our placements thing and this is where it is getting interested as we are getting to explore new opportunities. Pay as of now is around 4-5 LPA but I hope it increases to atleast 10 by 2030.

Placements are okay not so good because of the field as Law doesn't have much placements because it is only given in corporate sector and other things people only have to get employment like for Self employment.

The university has a placement cell which is helpful. They help us get internships in which place we want (only if we are eligible). The placements are nice which are reported by the seniors. We got to know that most of the seniors had a starting package of 7L per annum.

Mostly it's the law firms like Indus Law, Globus, PICT and others. The payment scale therefore is less when it is compared with NLSIU or other NLUs. Some private companies like the UB Group and ITC amoung other others are also coming to hire students who have chosen corporate law as their main electives.
