Likes

College infrastructure is excellent, along with the classrooms.
Teachers have a unique way of teaching which really helped us students.
College environment and ambience is really suitable.

Dislikes

Attendance is mandatory which sometimes made it difficult to self study.
No internship opportunities for Bsc Biotechnology.
Nothing else to dislike, it was a great experience studying in this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

Biotechnology is a demanding field. As the world technology is improving, applying the same to human health. I personally chose this course because of my interest in cancer biology. Overall Biotechnology has a great scope in future and will continue having great demand.

Class Size: 30Course Fees: INR 2000000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Our monthly fees was 3800 and each semester we had to pay an approximate amount of 6950 in the beginning of the semesters. There were a total of 6 semesters and the course is of 3 years. Scholarships are available and are merit based. Once enquired in office, they will tell you about the scholarship details.

Campus Life

There are numerous festivals and events all throughout the year. They have yearly farewells and freshers events, Rabindra jayanti event, Christmas celebration and many more. College moreover participates and organises a number of seminars and workshops.

Admission

Course eligibility depends on merit and aspirants must have a science background. Application form must be applied online and then you have to wait for the admission provision list. There are 2 lists within an interval of fifteen days.

Faculty

We had a total of 8 facilities in Biotechnology department including out head of the department. All of them efficiently taught all the three years that's is first, second and third year students. The teachers made out interaction easy and helped us a lot in our three year journey.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum was well-structured, and each semester, there were projects and presentations that also helped to test our knowledge. I got influenced as the curriculum provides us with financial economics, political economics, and Applied mathematics. The level of the exams was decent, related to the course. They could improve in teaching more practical knowledge and projects related to that, instead of only learning in a theoretical way.

Placement Experience:

Placements and job oppurtinities are less since this is an undergraduate college offwering honours degree. Though there is a placement and career councelling cell that looks over this matter. Placements are offered only in a few subjects, such as industrial chemisrty and computer science. The rate of placements are very high and come with high packages. Though I am not interested in placements, but I have started taking preparations for compititive exams. Such preparations are very supported here, rather than jobs and placements.
