Course Curriculum Overview

4

My course is B tech computer science and engineering and it's a 4 years professional degree with 7 semesters you have to attend and 8th one is training which there is no need to attend physically, there are proper theory and practical subjects too but however less care is given to practicality which can be improved so that students get proper exposure and everything rest all in course is up to mark basic subject fundamentals are properly covered and taught.

Placement Experience

3.5

University has a seperate placement cell for conducting placements however it depends upon market how many companies will visit like last year there were less companies but this year companies are more . Placement is conducted after having tests from companies like aptitude round , dsa round, technical interview and hr interview there are phases and you have to clear all in order to get selected for a company, major companies coming for placement in B tech cse are Accenture, TCS , capegemini, z scalar, axtria etc overall placement is average but if you have skills no one can stop you and everything is smooth including placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees of courses in Gndu is 1.4 lakh, although if you are from economically weak section, then scholarship is given to you according to status of your economy they will waive off your fees accordingly, like 100% or 50%, after verification of your status

Campus Life

5

Campus experience is very good there is a gym and a swimming pool you can have membership also there is a football ground, a basketball ground, and a badminton court that you can visit anytime and play. campus Life is amazing and most importantly,. Jashan is held yearly, where there is competition among different departments in areas like skit, choreography, dance, Bhangra, gidha, etc and also youth fest is there, which involves different colleges too. along with this, there are several other fests of different departments held every year, like polaris of CSE. it is overall a good experience. every Wednesday there is a mehfil involving students who can perform and showcase their skills and talents as per their wish. I loved the campus and hostel Life in gndu alot. As cons, I would say the crowd here is sometimes not good.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostel is bit old styled but also new hostels has been constructed and fees of hostel is nominal, mess food is sometimes not upto the marks there are separate canteen for seperate hostels you can visit whichever you want night life in hostel is also amazing. There are reading rooms with facility of AC and however personal rooms doesn't have such facilities you have to buy your own cooler and pay rents AC is not permitted in hostel, everything is good but mess food can be improved.

Admission

Eligibility for B tech cse is jee mains entrance exam cut off for my batch was 76 percentile but later after seats got vacated waiting list upto 75 percentile was cleared also if you didn't come under cut off you can take seat in management quota which is double the fees from normal. I didn't availed any reservation benefits but in reservation cut off can go upto 50 percentile . They conducted counselling on basis of jee mains only. All admission process form filling and registration everything is done online except for counseling. Everything is good and smooth in admission process

Faculty

3.5

Faculty members are all educated However, in B.Tech, not a lot of care is given practically, but theoretically, and also now University has mandated making a mini project every summer vacation, and it also has credits; it was not there at my time. University teachers are good; some may look right, but there is no such thing as partiality or anything. Interaction between students and teachers is also good; you can clear your doubts and everything whenever you like in class; teachers are helpful. Admission process is hectic also; if any corrections or changes need to be done, like other government offices, you have to follow the whole procedure strictly, which may even take several days, and everything else is good basically; administration can be improved.

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.
