Remarks

Good remarks is that exams are generally not that tough one can score pretty well even with one days preparation. Bad remay is that its new college lot of things need to be improved ranging from faculties to administration system.

Entrance Preview

I opted due to its vicinity from my Home. Also,I didn't have any option of taking M.tech CST at any other college since I didn't write Gate exam.So only option I was left with is Central University of Punjab.Since I wrote only one exam that is CUCET so I was eligible for this particular college.

Course Curriculum Overview

2

I am currently pursuing Mtech in computer science and technology at central university of Punjab bathinda. Course curriculum is not that good. Though they are teaching subjects as per current industrial demand that is Machine learning and artificial intelligence also big data. But faculties are unable to manage the curriculum properly. One has to sit for classes from morning 9 am to evening 5 pm and in between lot of time gets wasted which is a big problem.

Internships Opportunities

No internships in college it just that in 4th semester of M.tech there is are 5 credits for industrial internship which you have to do it outside college but college doesn't help you with that. You will have to find it yourself.

Placement Experience

1

No placements as of now so those who don't qualify Gate or does not score well in Gate can take admission in this college and keep preparing for Gate. One has to go for off-campus placements and that is very tough since competition is increasing day by day.

College Events

3

Lot of agricultural meets are held throughout the year. Then there are lot inter college competitions are held. There is also cultural fests and lot quiz shows and exhibition take place throughout the year. There are many guests lecture for different streams.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees is very nominal for my course Semester 1 fees is Rs15900 and hostel fees for semester 1 is Rs13400 and from second semester onwards it is Rs 10900 and hostel fees is 8400. Excluding mess fees which is generally charged monthly and it is approximately Rs 2400

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship is given to those who have qualified Gate exam and are entitled to get stipend of Rs 12500 as per MHRD.Loan facilities can be availed at any government bank.

Campus Life

1.5

Campus life is great you will meet students coming from all the way from Kerela to Kashmir. There are many students from all parts of India maximum are from Kashmir, Kerela, Orissa,Bihar and Punjab of course.Gender ratio is good .There is inter college sports competition held every year.Labs are great for students who are pursuing medicines competition such as robotics does not take place but debates competition is held every semester.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel facilities are not that good since the campus that I am currently staying at is temporary and by next semester they will most probably change the campus which is very huge and will have bigger rooms and mess food is great you can have lot of things to eat .

Alumni/Alumna

No alumni network as such since it's a new university. Though one can take their feedback about the college that's the only help one can expect from them.

Exam Structure

There are two exams before final exam That is called as MSTs. So there will be MST1 and MST2 before final exam . Both MSTs are 25 marks. So scoring high in these exams can help one improve his percentage. The final exam is usually a computer based test of mcq nature and is generally of 25 marks which is converted to 100 marks. All the exams are set by College only.So keep good relationship with teachers.

Admission

I wrote CUCET exam which usually asks your preference before filling up the form. So I chose Mtech CST in Central University of Punjab and Mtech Computers science in Central university of South Bihar. Also Msc in big data at central university of Rajasthan.

Faculty

1.5

Faculty is good but they are not that competent when it comes to teaching subjects like machine learning , artificial intelligence. One has to work on its own to get the concepts which I think the faculties are lacking here. Also there is a rush to complete the syllabus which I don't understand why.

Teh campus placements are not that good for this course. It's good for BTECH students but for Mtech it is not at par. Till now for my batch hardly 5-6 companies came for internship out of which hardly 4 took the candidates.

Course Curriculum Overview:

You will get many opportunities to furnish yourself as the faculty members are too supportive. You will get to know many conference on daily basis that can upheld your boost and make you morally supportive. Doing masters there would lack of strictness as they thought your are grown up, they considered you only for exams and other circulum activities. University should seriously take in action the role their teachers are playing as they sometimes bunk many classes. Exams are not that tough as you would require basic knowledge of your subject.

Some colleges or universities require prospective students to complete interviews. A school may use this interview to determine a student's eligibility for a specific program, decide if the student deserves a scholarship or assess a student's admittance to the school in general.
