Course Curriculum Overview

4

Ktus curriculum is industry oriented and focuses on emerging technologies. University make updates and changes based on the new trends. Making all the things relevant to current market needs. The curriculum covers a wide range of topics and create a strong foundation , but it also need some improvement in various aspects.

Internships Opportunities

4

As a civil engineering student we have a strict order from the department itself to go for an internship of 10 days from first year itself. By this method, even though we were unaware about the concept we get an opportunity to understand and gain practical knowledge. The company and day for internship can be choosen by ourselves. Everything is upto us. We can do it based our interest.

Placement Experience

4

From 5th semester itself students can sit for placement. College offering a wide placement opportunity. But the amount of students getting selected is less than 20 from each department. Different companies for various departments are coming for placement. Coming to my department there is a only 2 or 3 companies had only visited our campus. L&T , tata, etc are major ones. The package starting from 2.5 lakh to 8 lakh per annum based on the skills offered by the student.

Fees and Financial Aid

Overall I have to spend less than 60 thousand for my studies that is it include my course fee exam fee university registration fee internet fee alumini membership fee etlab fee university insurance fee sports and arts fee, etc. The amount of course fee is less than 10 thousand per annum. The overall expenses of a student during college life vary from one individual to other based on his or her interest in being a part of different clubs and events which is this also a part of their academics but its always personal choice

Campus Life

4.5

Coming to the club side our college has a wide variety of clubs from a simple concrete to space. All the clubs are arranging different events both online and offline. Almost 80% of the year has different events arranged by different clubs. Mainly there is two fest happening in college one is tech fest called takshak usually conducted in odd sem. Takshak has an international recognition. When coming to the other fest that is sanskriti which is the arts fest of the college arranged in even sum. All the programs of these fest are arranged coordinated and managed by college union and different clubs

Admission

Kerala Engineering and medical (KEAM) is the entrance exam conducted in kerala for the admission of a student in engineering college. The exam is fully based on the higher secondary syallabus . Application form and fees are not that much burden for an individual as compared to other entrance exams. And also the eligibility criteria is also very easy that a student who score 10 marks in the exam is eligible for the ranking. Allotment and other procedures are done correctly based on the schedule mentioned in the website

Faculty

3.5

Coming to faculties, ktu tried to provide good faculties but I felt some of them have knowledge about the course but doesn't have teaching quality. The amount of faculties is enough to cop up with the amount of students in the University. All the teachers are very approachable till now. They share their ideas and resources for our development. My college also offers an opportunity to rate our teachers at every 1 month in an online platform offered by college

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.
