Likes

The campus is much bigger. Environment is also nice.
Classrooms are well managed, air conditioned, also clean
I like the scenery when sunset occurs. Our auditorium is the best among all.

Dislikes

As the campus is big there's not enough management.
The distance from hostel to our college is more than 800 meters
The locality is underdeveloped. Patient load is also less.

Course Curriculum Overview

All the professors teach us through both methods - 1) Via PPT -2) Writing in board -3) 3D image and video based learning In anatomy the dissection is quite helpful, they provide us bones and visceras for study purpose throughout the dissection class.

Class Size: 125Course Fees: INR 8000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fee is very less . 100 rupees hostel fee per month Hostel fees throughout the years is almost 6000 Scholarships are available for every kind of students. Dean office staffs are very helpful for us.

Campus Life

What I like the most about our college is the social life revolving around it. As our seniors are very friendly, we almost participate in every single program, functions, workshops and everything. Our cultural fest, academic fest, which are Kaizma and Mediverse respectively. Kaizma brings so much of experiences to all the students of JNM.

Hostel Facilities

Our hostel facilities are the best among all the old colleges of our state. 2 students share a single room . Rooms are also very well lit. It has one window. When we were allotted the hostels we got one almirah, one study table and chair, one mattress, one bed. Also the Hostel life is the most amazing thing I've ever experienced.

Hostel Fee: INR 101 per year

Admission

Admission process is easy, as it is a state college, the admission process occurs through state counseling, The cutoff of our college varies , it's almost within 18-20K all india rank for general category students.

Faculty

We have 125 students in our batch. Classes are nice. Our teachers are helpful, they try to reach out almost every single student. Specially our anatomy department is the best. Our biochemistry and physiology department is also nice. All of the faculties are well qualified. Faculty to student ratio is 20:1.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is quite well maintained till 3rd year but the final year syllabus is too vast to complete within 1 year. I feel duration has to be increased a bit. The process of acquiring knowledge entirely depends on the individual pursuing this course as there is no spoonfeeding as in other courses.

Best medical College in west bengal

Placement Experience:

If you can pass the exam that is very tough to pass if you're not serious at all, you'll be able enough to get into any nursing home or you can start treating people staring your own clinic. After 4.5 years you get the internship program that is mandatory to do for all where you get a salary of 32000 per month which is highest among all states . If you manage to be in the top 100 students of the batch of 250 you get one year job in the same hospital with a fees of 50000 and just 48 hours duty per week. If you do nursing home you can get around 70-90k per month based on how much you spent time on work .

Review about COMJNMH, Kalyani, West Bengal.

Admissions are according to the state health university portal after filling out choices as per your choice. Kolkata colleges get the highest cutoff each year. Choice filling is according to the AIR list and a number of factors. I chose this college because it's closeness to Kolkata. And I couldn't get the ones in Kolkata because of hogh cutoff. Admission was easy and without any hassle. Just be sure to bring the mentioned documents with you on the admission day to avoid hassle during documents verification. NEET is the qualifying exam.
