Experience of b.arch in IIEST- campus ,course and everything

The curriculum is very rigorous and the pressure is extreme. Starting from theory subjects to the sessionals you have to be very good at managing time to complete everything within deadlines. The course might be improved in terms of a little more practical exposure. There are usually 2 major exams in a semester , the mid semester and end semester along with all the practical exams before that. The course is however very good for people who want to go for higher studies as it completes most of the syllabus for the GATE examination.

The college refers you to various companies for the internship projects. The firm's like Abin design studio, Espace, studio lotus, aakriti, etc. There are also several internship opportunities in other IITs and NITs in terms of research oriented work

It is one of the only colleges where you get campus placement in architecture as well. The placements are decent with mostly architecture firms hiring but also some central government public sectors also come with higher pay packages. But mostly people do not study architecture thinking about placements, you need to apply outside to companies for better opportunities

The cost is a moderate amount if you include tuition fee and the rest of the fees . It totals up to around 1 lakh 25 thousand rupees per year if you are from general category without any kind of scholarship. Reserved students has a lot of concession and the fees come down more than 50%. Scholarships are available based on your semester results and family income

The annual fest REBECCA is held every year in April...it is the most fun time of the year, and goes on for 4 days. You can participate in various events and programs throughout the year as well. There are various clubs and societies like the reflexobeta -dance club, debsoc-debate club,dramatics society and a lot more. There is enough opportunities to enjoy your stay in the college. The college also has a lot of activities like gymnasium, basketball court, 2 big playing grounds, swimming pool etc.

You have to give the jee main paper 2 exam for getting in b.arch course. Then through jossaa counselling you can get into the college. The cute off is pretty high starting from around a AIR 800-900 in general category . There are a total of 25 seats out of which 12 is for general candidates and the rest reserved

The faculty to student ratio is usually 1:25 in the architecture course,which is usually sufficient. All the faculties are very much experienced in their fields and posses research work and publications in their name. All the faculties have a PhD degree and specializations in different sub categories. You can approach the faculties anytime within the class hours and even after class hours many faculties are willing to help you with your shortcomings. Approaching faculties is not at all a problem here.They guide you well
