Likes
- The faculties are very helpful and the material they provide will not only boost your grades but also prepares you for the competitive exams like jlpt,NAT etc.
- The campus and library are full of people filled by wisdom. The best part of jnu is that you will learn how to express yourself and participate in debates and extracurricular activities
Dislikes
- The political parties, i mean it's good but sometimes violence can be seen.
- We have a 9 floor library but only 2 floors are reading rooms which sometimes especially during exams creates a mess because we don't get seat to study
Course Curriculum Overview
My major goal for selecting this course was less competition. Japanese is a tough course and also have various scholarships and opportunities to work in japan. What else do you need from a B.A course . Apart from this we have to give JLPT exam which is conducted by japanese embassy so there is still a scope , by learning japanese and some skill we can get a handsome package.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions
Fee is very less i.e 118/ semester and the mess bill varies from hostel to hostel but let's take an average of 3200/month. The hostel charges are around 1400/semester which includes electricity and room rent.
Campus Life
We don't have tech fest or anything but different centre celebrate their particular event for eg, i myself a Japanese student celebrate festival like kizuna etc. If we talk about books and journals you will get all types of book we have a lib of 9 floor in which 7 floor is filled with books only. There are various clubs like cricket, football, dance, NCC etc. you can join as per your hobby. Overall i love this college, don't know how quickly 2 years passed.
Admission
First of all you need to pass your 12th exam then there is an exam called CUET UG. you have to fill that form, the application fee is around 500. If you are sc/st or disabled you will be selected at a par score. The exam held every year once in may or june . Once you clear the cutoff just come to jnu, our senior help a lot during the admission process form Xerox to sign of incharge, they will help you in all possible way.
Faculty
The teachers are very down to earth, I mean we have a batch of 40 students and have 5 professors and we can contact them anytime if We seek any help. Apart from professor the p.h.d students also guide us which is cherry on the top.
