- There are many technical clubs for each niche area, the main famous one's are like Ashwa the racing club, Antariksh the space club, Ncc, Nss, Rotaract and many coding and robotic cubs.
- As this is a top college of Karnataka placement opportunities are very good more than 200 companies come for placement and cs and is have highesr packages of 60 lacs and ec also has max placement of 50 lac and an avg of 15 lac.
Dislikes
- Due to construction of new building there is lot of dust and campus is bitin chaos.
- As Rv university is coming up in the same campus playing grounds and indoor grounds are not there at present but are coming up
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is designed well, and the aspect of studying every basic engineering couple is removed in the first 2 semesters you can choose between options, there is 3 internals before the main sem exam in which the best 2 are taken with 10 marks online quiz and each sem you have to do a project under experiential learning which has a good Weitage in adding up to the sgpa.
Internships Opportunities
There are center of excellence in the college collaborativly working with Iisc, Drdo and foreign university to provide internship opportunities for the students and you can avail paid internships from outside on your own also.
Placement Experience
Placements are very good here a number of good companies as I think more than 200 companies visit each year. Mainly Cs, Is and EC people have a very high placement level but other branches like mech, civil and others also getcore companies for their placements. As I am from ec many good companies like Phips, Nvidea, Anoog Devices, and Texas Instruments. Come for the placements and have an average placement of 15 lac.
Fees and Financial Aid
For general merit kcet students per year, fees are 96 thousand plus 20k skill lab fees, comedk fees is 3lac + 30k skill lab fees but the management fee varies as per branch, for example, cs for the course of 4 yrs its 64lac, Cy and Cd its 52, Ec its 32 lac and less for other non-circuit branches. There are multiple scholarships like NSP, SSP, other girl child, and sc, st scholarships available.
Campus Life
There are many fests, the main one is 8th Mile which happens every 2 years, every year an Esummit fest happens and Kannada habba also happens very grandly each year, the campus life is very good, here the main problem now is due to the ongoing construction inside the campus.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facility is nice here with an annual fees of 90k+30k rs which covers the stay and themess food for 2 semesters, the rooms are 2 sharing for the first 3 years and single rooms for the 4th year student. The mess food is good with varieties but is only veg a big monthly feast ishiven every month's last sunday.
Admission
There are multiple entries kcet, comedk, and management. Management doesn't have any criteria, in kcet and comedk you should get a good rank as cutoff is very less as it's a good college. The exams are done once every year after class 12 exams.
Faculty
The teacher-to-student ratio is very good there are a lot of faculties in each department and for the course of 4 years, you will get a faculty counselor who will be very friendly, but the course teachers are a bit bad although for engineering it doesn't matter much but never mess with any teacher be in their good book.
