What Students Say
Likes
- Good location of college, with Arai hills in background and quite close to the hustling side of the city.
- Excellent infrastructure which helps students learn better.
Dislikes
- Placement statistics and scenario is not very clear.
- Hostels are too expensive and finding a PG nearby is hectic.
- Crowd in MIT is not so good so better check out other colleges before opting for admission in MIT.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course and curriculum is not very clear as it keeps changing and varying from batch to batch but its designed pretty well to make you work on projects which help in providing insight to future prospects and help in developing a thinking process necessary for people in the branch.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees is a bit too high compared to other colleges and I do not find it justified as such, other than that there are plenty of scholarships based on your merit in competitive exams and it has to be maintained or they remove the aid provided. Plenty of campus jobs available too.
Campus Life
Plenty of events like Aarohan (music festival), Hook it up (Basketball), inter branch matches in various sports, esports events etc. There is a library too which has two parts an offline library and an online collection too. There is a big sports complex under construction and will soon be operational. Quite a number of clubs like music, dance, go karting, photography, aerodynamics, hyperloop, formula, electric etc.
Admission
MIT never released the cutoffs for specific branches so when you apply for admission they will offer you certain branch which you can choose to opt for or even try your chance at the spot rounds for better branches. Exams are usually 2 months after the college starts but the gap between the mid term and end term is quite short so the faculty races through the syllabus at that point.
Faculty
Faculty are very nice, some professors can be rude to you at times but they tend to help you incase you are facing any trouble. Class ratio is fine but due to less number of professors they dont quite remember you. Some professors are a lot more involved with the class while the others focus more on teaching.
