Course Curriculum Overview

Specific aspects of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose this course is to consider different factors to match my goal and skill level. The college provides or prepares us like by asking to apply for paid internships. The frequency and timings of exams along with our perspective level are like there are 4 Class test being taken before appearing in semester.

Placement Experience

Semester students are eligible to sit in campus placement after 6th sem. The companies visits according to our tp-cell like previous year there were mnc like Capgemini, Cognizant, LabVentures etc. Current scenarios in the college is mostly thesstart-up companies are hiring. The avg package which were offered by the mnc are 6-7 lakhs based on their skills and it increases according to personal skills

Fees and Financial Aid

The complete cost of our education, including tuition fees, service fees and other compulsory charges are overall 400000(4 lakhs ) in 2022 . It does increase every new session/year as per new admissions. Scholarship or financial aid that are available for students which is most common one is SVMCM scholarship provided by the government of West Bengal.

Campus Life

Sports:- Our college is not so good in sports, but yeah every year our college do oraganise annual sports meet. Outdoor games are only included in it like (Football, Basketball), Cricket (boys and girls both) and Tug of war, Shot put, 100m runs etc. Canteen:- A small canteen with veg menu. Library:- It's a good and spacious one and it's does have an e library option.

Admission

Eligibility of the course - 10+2 passed with subjects (PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY,MATHS) and cleared Wbjee or Jee or by reservations criterias. You can find application form by offline visiting the college or in the college website.

Faculty

Faculty to student ratio is like 30:1. But if you problem with studies or something in college they help you to sort it out well. It impacts in learning usually but later on after the class if we ask respective teachers they help it out to understand. Faculty's credentials are mainly PHD professors and they are quite good in their subjects. We can interact with teachers and approachability at time of the college or if we have something urgent we can text them.

The placement performance in my college is average few student get decent placement otherwise many sales company come and took the student .Around 30 percent student in my class got placement by college other strudents get placed by thereselves there is no role of placement and training department in this.

Shaping My Future: A Comprehensive Review of College Life and Academics

Placement Experience:

After 7th semester companies started coming and there is different criteria for different companies like some company have criteria for more then 8.5 cgpa will be able to seat only in their placement conducting it is totally based on company preferences. The highest package was 9 lpa and average package was 3 lpa. Around 60 percent student get placed in my department.

Companies started coming around 7 th semester there is different criteria for different companies like you have more tan nine cgpa then you are eligible for that particular company. Around 50 percent people in my class get placed . Companies like TCS ,wipro EY are mass hiring company.

The life in HITK

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placement in cse, it ,ece and sometimes elec branches. The others dpt also offers a quite unique variety of placements from different companies. Nearly 60 percent of the students have been placed in this year and others are still on board for a positive response.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of my college is very strong.From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements.There are around 50 companies visited in the college such as TCS,Intel. Microsft. Deloitte,etc.205 students are placed in TCS in year 2019. 415 students are placed in campus placement last year. Maximum CTC was 25 lacs/pa and average CTC was 5.5 lacs/pa previous year.After Jadhavpur University,the average CTC of the college is higher than IEM. Above 95% placements for IT,CSE and ECE students.There are around 55-60% placements in other department.My plans are doing some great things after getting the degree.

MCKVIE, a good college for its price

I applied for admission in many colleges like Siliguri Institute of technology, Heritage Institute of technology, Techno Main Salt Lake, Calcutta Institute of Engineering and management. (Through management quota) From the above, I got a confirmed admission in CIEM(Calcutta Institute of Engineering and Management) but i later opted for WBJEE Counseling to try my luck there. I put many colleges in My WBJEE preference list. It's very fortunate that I found out about MCKVIE at the last moment as it was a very good college considering its low price. From the colleges that i opted for both in counseling and management quota... most colleges were too expensive for me, or i was not able to get the desired course. MCKVIE was very suitable as I got CSE with a semester-wise tuition fees of around 55k. The admission process of my college was fairly systematic, I got Core CSE through WBJEE Counseling and got my seat throught WBJEE+JEE Rank. Overall admission experience was a bit lengthy process because it involved the Counseling procedures, but it was smooth and the officials were helpful and well prepared for all kinds of inconveniences...Read More
