Remarks
Admission process is pretty simple. We write the Manipal Enterance test and based on the ranking in that we get alloted a seat in a particular branch. Application for the exam can be found in the MAHE website and the exam is conducted in 2 phases every year. Difficulty level is medium.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course I have taken is Aritficial Intillegence. Till now every subject is going smoothly, in terms of curriculum. Areas for improvement are more practical teaching should be inculcated and it should be more application based rather than just reading theory which is the same from a decade.
Internships Opportunities
there is very less info about the internship oppurtunities available with my college. Since its a new college I would say the culture is yet to develop and the interships oppertunity is comparitively less for a reputable college.
Placement Experience
Till now none of the batches have graduated yet since it is a new college. The first batch to graduate will be the 2021-25 batch. So nothing is known properly about the placements. The students are told there will be centralised placements.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions
The fee structure for everyone (other than exeptions) is 3 lakh ish in the first year and 5 lakh ish from the second year. The drastic increase in the fee from first to second year is something to be worried. There are a lot of scholorships lie for top students of a course, and a scholorship called konkani smtg
Campus Life
Campus life is amazing and most of the things people say are true about manipal. The clubs have been active and there are around 20+ clubs for various different prospects. The social life is diverse. We get to see all kinds of people here.
Faculty
Faculties are well qualified and the study materials they provide are pretty good. There is one faculty for every 50 students in a class. Their mentorship is not that great. But every college has a few good faculties and few terrible ones., so does manipal.
