- Most of the faculty members are well talented and are Ph.D holders which makes us even more enthusiastic to learn.
- The infrastructure of the college is very modern as compared to other colleges in Bangalore.
Dislikes
- there is no proper dress code in the campus which sometimes makes us uncomfortable by looking at some students wearing an outfit over the line.
Course Curriculum Overview
Our college's curriculum is mostly government-decided, making it even easier to get into student exchange programs. Also, the teaching is concentrated according to the bayers pyramid method. There are 3 tests in a semester: Quiz for 10 marks, Mid-sem for 30 marks, and End-sem for 50 marks. The remaining 10 marks go for an assignment that is given after Mid-sem exams.
Internships Opportunities
The internships provided by the college start from 3rd semester. There are many companies providing internships along with government-paid AICTE internships. The stipend would vary nearly around 10k to 70k depending on the work and the company.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for college placements from the 7th semester. Also, students can get internships from college during 3rd semester itself. There are many companies including MNCs for placements coming to our campus. The highest package is 48L and is placed in Microsoft. The average package is 18L. 76% of students get placed. Get a package of min. 24L and then work for 2 years and then do a master's.
Fees and Financial Aid
The tuition fee for now is 325000 per year for the first years and later on, for the rest of the years, there are additional academic fees added per year which concludes at 509000 per year. There are scholarships provided by the institute based on the rank secured in the entrance test. Additionally, there are fee waiver schemes provided by the central government for 1% of students of a class which is 6 students per class for which the annual income of the parents must be under 9 lakhs according to the income tax returns.
Campus Life
campus life is good at MAHE. People get a lot of time to spend on their likes. there are many places on the campus to chill and enjoy. The cultural fest of MIT is FALAK and the technical fest of MIT is TECH-solstice. there is also an MAHE annual fest called RUBARU. Almost all the relevant books are available in the libraries. The sports sector of MAHE is great with both outdoor and indoor maintained equipment. We do have our sports complex called MARENA which includes a full-sized basketball court also convertible into a volleyball court. We have squash, sauna, steam bath, and many indoor sports in the complex itself. also, the gym in Marena is well and advanced equipped. There are all sorts of clubs which most of the universities have.
Hostel Facilities
The hostels are managed by ZOLO. There are at present 4 hostel blocks inside the campus which can accommodate a total of 3000 students and also there are 3 off-campus hostels that are also managed by ZOLO and could combine to accommodate a total of 600 students. There are 2 mess providers: Chefs Touch and Blue Dove. Students can food from each provider in alternate months. The quality of food is good and the menu changes every week providing ample varieties of food.
Admission
The eligibility of the course is to get above 60% in 12th grade. The application forms are on the official website of the Manipal Academy of Higher Education in March. There are no reservation-based seats in MAHE. The Manipal Entrance Test (MET) is an easy exam, to be honest. It falls twice in April and May.
Faculty
The faculty is very great. All of them are experienced in the research and teaching field. The faculty-to-student ratio is 1:25 which is quite good according to me as most of the students don't interact with faculty a lot the rest could use the benefit. The faculty is always available to help the students and also they provide great mentorship.
