Nit Calicut college review

Curriculum is average. As practical classes are there which have very good experiments but still most of time we sped on writing files for experiment which in my opinion is not good for overall learning of students.

Average tution fee for a semester is around 80000 while hostel fee for 1 semester is around 33000.Most of time they increase fee every year. Scholarships are provided for lower income groups and based on caste critiria. Those who have annual income lower than 5 lakh avail two third concession on tuition fee while those with 1lakh have full concession

Campus life here is good for those students who really wants to discover themselves by joining different clubs like literacy and debate club etc.The fests are most intersting part in this college. There are two fests in a year, !st ragam a cultural fest generaly occur in march while techlical fest Tatva occur during monsoon semester.Library is very good, have seperate study rooms, computer and laptop equipped room and nearly have all types of books.

For first year students 1 room is generally shared by four students.In second,3rd year room is shared between 2 students and from final year every student have seperate rooms. Meal quality for vegetarian students is not much good while for non vegies it is medium to good. Hostel fee for 1 semester is nearly 33000.To register for hostel you have to register in nitc hostel app and avail hostel after paying fee.

To avail admission to this course you have to secure a good rank in jee mains.THen you can apply for Josaa counseling then if your ranking comes under this then you will avail of the benefit. Exams difficulty is medium to tough, there are mid-semester examinations and end-semester examinations while doing assignments and normal tests in between.

The teachers of nit calicut are highly qualified and most of them done their phd's or mtech from either IIT's or top nit's . Most of them have very high expirience of teaching btech students. Most teachers set good questions in semester paper which cannot be directly solved without core understanding of subjects.
