Course Curriculum Overview

The engineering curriculum is good, so that we can learn technical information from the curriculum. The faculty: student ratio is 1:20. The qualification of the faculty is Btech,Mtech. The examination were term in every 6 months and the difficulty is fare.

Internships Opportunities

The college provides international internships in the companies like ISIS, UNISIS in the middle east, and other foreign company in the engineering field. The role assigned during the internship is 'trainee'.

Placement Experience

About 70% of the students are placed in every year. 7th semester onwards the placement training is given. The companies like Wipro, TCS, Infosys, and about 25 companies will provide placement to the students.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is every year there are tuition fees of about 60000. And there may be hostel fees, mess fees, transportation fees, lab fees, etc. And also scholarships and financial assistance will be provided by college management for bright and financially backward students.

Campus Life

There are so many fests organized by the college and college students unions on behalf of college management such as sports fest, arts fest, college day, farewell, freshers day, tech fest, etc. for improving the extracurricular activities of the students. And a large library is available in the college.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel facility was good. There are separate hostels for boys and girls. In a room maximum, 3 people are allowed. There are surplus water and electricity availability. The mess facility is near the hostel.

Hostel Fee: INR 18000 per year

Admission

Admission process was simple. I was applied and qualified KEAM entrance examination, so i was selected in management quota seat. I was visited the college and i find application form in the college. The eligibility of the course was +2 with 45%.

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Placement Experience:

The placements here are quite good, but not great. Because only 50% of students in a class are getting placed. From S7 onwards the placements have been started for our department. But for other departments, from S8 only companies have arrived. For CSE department, many companies are coming which include Cognizant, SOTI, Mitsogo, EY, 6D Technologies, etc. Our senior batch students have placed at many companies in this. But comparing with other senior batches, the placements at our batch is really bad.

The college has 3 types of seats. Merit seats, management seats, and NRI seats. Merit seats are filled by students who scored high rank and marks in the KEAM entrance examination. The fees for these students will be 15k to 20k per semester. Management seats are filled by those students who have registered for the KEAM exam but couldn't qualify for the examination or those who got low ranks and marks in the entrance. The fee structure of these students will be anywhere from 30k to 35k per semester. NRI seats are filled by those students who did not appear for the KEAM entrance examination or belong to any other state other than Kerala, or students who came from a different country. These students sometimes have to pay a small amount of donation during the time of admission. Those students have to pay about 50k to 60k per semester....Read More
