Remarks

Since the college is autonomous the semestes are squeezed into 4 months each and there are many money related issues

Entrance Preview

The reason to opt this college was it's one of the top colleges in Bangalore. I had heard very nice reviews of this college and also one of my cousins had completed his education here and the placements are also very good. The infrastructure is one of the best in Bangalore.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum is based on the theory and practical lab sessions. The college emphasises more on the lab or hands on approach to the curriculum so that the students are industry ready in every aspect required by the placement companies. The exams are based on GPA systems.

Internships Opportunities

Yes the college provides internship and also encourage us to attend internship outside the college also.

Placement Experience

4

Placements have been good for the senior batch students. Around 100 companies come for placement recently two of our college students got placed in Amazon Web services for 11.5 Lacs package. The salary package depends on the students and company min being 13000 and max being 11.5 Lacs. Companies like Amazon Wipro Flipkart etc. Have come

College Events

4

Every year, the college organises the biggest inter-college fest where a huge number of colleges take part in the fest. The college organises mini events throughout the year that is held by different departments. The college organises blood donation camps for the society. It is a good college to showcase all your talents.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure for CET students are ?50000 for CET board and ?30000 for college for executive students, ?45000 for college for professional and ?60000 for college for global students. For management students its ?175000, ?190000 and ?210000 respectively.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are currently no scholarship or loans offered by the college themselves but only those offered by private or government agencies.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus life in NHCE is very good compared to majority of the colleges. The gender ratio is 7:8 out of 15 in favour of female:male. The college is very well diversed included with Nepal students who study here and also many students are from north India. Extracurricular activities labs and sports are well organised in he college.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel facilities will take a rating of 8.3/10 and mess food 7.2/10. The college has 2 separate hostels one each for male and female students. There is also one hostel off the campus which is also very good. The hostel is very well equipped with wardens.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni students respond very well to the current students. They actually come to the college every semester for addressing the students about industry requirements in the pre-requisite classes.

Exam Structure

The exam structure is divided into two parts SEE- semester end exams and CIE- continuous internal evaluation both 50 marks each. The cie is further divided into internal exams(15), assignments(10), quizzes(10) lab (15) marks. The SEE is for 100 marks which is reduced to equivalent 50 marks.

Admission

I got the admission to this college under the management seats which are provided from the college who are not selected through the entrance exams. The donations are high for such admission. The admission department explain all the available courses and packages available.

Faculty

4

The faculty members are very approachable, and they are well-educated. Few of them were pursuing PhDs. There is a good connection between the student and the faculty. The HODs will take classes for the higher semester students. The course curriculum is up to a point with a credit based system. It is not only restricted to the monotonous lectures, but we have experts coming from the industry to teach the last module of the syllabus. We have frequent seminars every two months. The courses change whenever required to catch up with the latest technologies. The teacher to student ratio is about 1:80.

From your 7th semester you become eligible to get placed and it is mandatory to get internship before you get placed which the college helps you to get and around 400-500 companies visit, and a good amount of offers are made by them. The average package stands somewhere around 11LPA -12LPA and the highest goes to 50LPA-60LPA and the median stands around 9-10LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
