Student Experience at KIT's College of Enginering Kolhapur

The Computer Science and Business Systems (CSBS) provides a computer engineering along with the essentials of management. it is a perfect course to do in todays corporate world.The syllabus is designed by professionals in TCS. The syllabus and the course outcomes are student friendly. Though CSBS is not a well known course so sometimes students face limitations for a subject.

Comapnies like Knorr Bremse,Tata Power,TCS,Infosys have our college students as interns. College encourages students to do internships for experience. Also college has Project Based Learning activities in every semester.

After the graduation is Computer Science and Business Systems there are huge oppurtunities for students to join tech giant companies like TCS, Infosys,IBM, Cognizant,HCL,Wipro. The average package can offered by the recruiters can be 5-10 LPA. Though CSBS graduates have the advantage of studying the management the companies favour them more. Student with decent CGPA from 6-10 have good opportunities. after b.tech one can do higher education such as MBA,M.Tech,etc.

Fee structure of college is 1 Lakh rupees for a Year. There are Plenty of scholarships provided by college to benefit students financially. there are scholarships for economically weaker students, defence candidates, castewise reduction in fees. The campus placements are open for every branch students. there are so many companies favouring students due to students are consistenly given training.

There are so many clubs in college which encourage students through participating in various hackathons ,tech events,projects, business models,etc. The annual Event of KIT Meraki is good way to promote cultural events for students.Dancing, singing, talent shows are encouraged in this event.Also college organises sports week for students to encourage sports such as football ,cricket, basketbasll ,kabaddi,etc.

The eligibility of this course is the percentile scored by the candidate in MHT-CET. also college accepts JEE Mains percentile as students have the all India seats. The student must be Passed the 12th Board with aggregate of 50% in PCM subjects. The overall process is followed as per CET cell CAP round process. There are branchwise cutoff availabe on college's official website. the CET cell sometimes causes delay in displaying the college seats. it causes problem to student sometimes.

The Head of the Departments of each department are PHD holders. They have plenty of skills and teaching experience. also there are mentors working on every student considering their needs from the department. the teachers interact very well with students who have queries.
