Course Curriculum Overview

3

The curriculum is designed in a very organised manner so that the students can get knowlege from everywhere. The syllabus and study material are very crisp and to the point. But yes the university should give alittke bit more time for the preparation of the MST as they take place in consecutively 2 months which increases the difficulty level for the students

Fees and Financial Aid

Talking about the scholarship, CU provides the CUCET Scholarship which is absolutely based on the student's performance in the test. But maintaining the scholarship is something that the student needs to work hard on. They need to maintain a straight 7.5 SGPA every semester to keep the scholarship. Now CU being a private university, the fees is definitely high but I feel decreasing it a little bit would be easier for the students and for the family members.

Campus Life

3.5

Campus life has been great as CU follows a strict code of No Ragging, so that is something the newcomers shouldn't have a fear of. The students here are very engaging and helpful. Overall the university has a healthy environment with its own share of daily events for the students to engage and participate and brush up their talents and discover themselves.

Admission

The students need to clear the CUCET exam in order to be eligible for being a student at CU along with getting 55% in the boards. The entrance exam is quite easy so I feel anyone with a good knowledge will be able to nail the exam and get a seat in the university

Faculty

4

As I said earlier, the faculty members of Chandigarh University are very supportive, understanding and expert in their subjects. They help the students understand a topic very efficiently. There's no biasness in the teachers and all the students are equal to them. The teachers are interactive and they not only stick to the studies but also get along with the students abd converse with them even helping some students out if they face any personal problem.

Placement Experience:

Obviously the placements are offered in the final year but due to the NEP 2020. Various interships are provided to the students of even first year ones. Companies like Airtel, Amazon India, BYJU's, HCL, IBM, Infosys, Wipro, etc have offered placements to the students in their companies. The average package students can expect is around 2-3 lakhs per annum and the highest package would be around 10-15 lakhs. The percentage of students getting placements varies from 5-7% only.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As of i know the ggdsd college of chandigarh is considered the best college in chandigarh, and their psychology program is really good and that's why i choose it. The curriculum prepares us in many ways, they organize different types of activities and they even tell us about interships and how to grab them. I don't think that the curriculum needs any type of improvement, it is quite good. I don't have any problem with the frequency and the timing of the exams and their difficulty is also on medium-hard level.
