Course Curriculum Overview

BTech in Information Technology (IT) is a pretty interesting and trending course to pursue in today's time . It does prepared using well for real world applications and further academic pursuits. Exams are of high level quality questions asked in exams.

Fees and Financial Aid

COURSE FEE 75000 PER SEM SO YEARLY 150000 HOSTEL CHARGES 8000 Mess charges 15000 per sem so yearly hostel 16000 and mess 30000 . I personally avail none scholarships. .campus employment is decent and average package is decent too

Campus Life

Annual and technical festivals include rang e chinar , techvaganza and many others . Library is excellent . All course books and famous reference books are available here. Classrooms provisions are pretty decent as well . ACs in classes and smart board to demonstrate stuff. Sports facilities average .

Hostel Facilities

Facilities provided in the room are okayish. A fan a bed a table and a chair with an almirah. Mess food quality not at all good .Menu preparation also not good. Living in hostel accomodation. Needs to improve in this aspect as well

Hostel Fee: INR 16000 per year

Admission

Boards 75% and Jee mains rank to get IT in genral category min 30000 AIR . Reservation benefits those who avail are excellent here. Frequency ofexams is mid and final difficulty is moderate. Rest no suh improvements.

Faculty to students is appreciably high and it does impacts our learning experience in a positive way. Faculty is good . Approachability wise need to improve and be more transparent.Rest things are okayish to go with

The review

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is quiet relevant it covers all the important subjects and topics.I chose the Ece branch as the demand of semiconductors is rising in the future. The curriculum perpares us well for real world applications. The course teaches us a lot of outdated concepts but it misses out to teach about what is happening in the world right now. So the course can involve a lot of topics that are in trend.

From the starting of 4th year ,we are eligible to sit in the placement and the ratio is almost 65-70 percent percentage head and for it and cse - increff, microsoft ,make my trip ,paypal ,and visa and for civil - L&T and many sales company

My point of view on NIT Srinagar

Placement Experience:

In 7th semester we become eligible for placements and sit for on campus interviews . In mechanical ONGC , IOCL ,JSW , physics wallah , vedanta and for cse and IT there are companies like paypal , microsoft (internship) , increff etc come for on campus placement.

A student's perspective

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like google microsoft facebook vedanta have visited and offered an average package of around 10 lpa. Highest package is of 45 lpa and lowest of 8 lpa. There is 100% placements of students from core branches. After i get my degree i want to work in a tech company and learn about technology.

The life of student at NIT Srinagar

Placement Experience:

The college placemts is good the average is areound 10lakh per annum , the comapnies that visit for placements and internships are VISA , MICROSOFT, PAYPAL, GOLDMANSACCHS, NVIDIA, CISCO, WIPRO , L&T , PHYSICS WALLAH, INCREFF , other startups etc. My plan is to crack on-campus placement from a good company.

NIT Srinagar - A Beautiful place but Underwhelming Experience

Placement Experience:

Placemets start right from your 7th semester. Most comapnies that would come here would be like vedanta , ashok leyland etc etc who mainly do mass hiring, th no of offers are quite low as for durig my time most companies qul do diversity and hiring would only select girls and the girls were low in numbers as compared to the boys so each girl recieved atleast 2-3 offers while rarely a boy would even rev=cieve a single offer. The highest package was offered by Vedanta but it was 13 lpa in ct in hand it would be arond 5-6 lpa , the average package was also the same around 5-6 lakhs per annum. Percentage of students placed would be around 30 percent but they inflated the numbers heavily but showing only the students who were eleigible as boys were mostle ineligible. My plans are to look for masters somewhere abroad.

I got this college on the basis of my jee mains rank through csab counselling. Due to some medical issue i was not able to study properly and got little less score. My college accepts admission through jee mains ranking After that josaa and csab counselling. Cutoffs for this exam vary around 80 percentile for obc 90 percentile for general students...Read More
