Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is so flexible and student friendly.first year, we have courses from every department. It allows us to understand our taste for a particular branch or department. they also have feedback mechanisms

Class Size: 180Course Fees: INR 120000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The institute fees which is basically the fees for education is around 1 lakh for a semester and the hostel, food and accommodation fees is around thirty thousand rupees. They also have a thing called mess cut which allows us to get a refund of the cost of the food.

Campus Life

Overall campus experience is good.Although thereis not much space to roam around in the college as the full construction is still going on.The places are very clean, nature friendly and aesthetically pleasing.

Admission

Admission is based on JEE advanced exam ranks all India.I got around 5000 category rank (OBC)so I got civil engineering.After the exam results are out, there is six step allotment process through which the seats are alloted.

Faculty

Faculty members are highly qualified.many of them have completed their their education and has PhD in the top institutions in India like IIT Madras, Bombay, roorkee etc.Faculty is very friendly and is always approachable

IIIT KOTTAYAM - a Honest review

Placement Experience:

As seniors said the average package is around 10lpa.If you have descent skills and above 8 cgpa you will get this average package. If you upskill yourself with effort which many students do here then you can also get above 15lpa which many seniors got.The highest package was off-campus by an ECE Student in Google despite having cgpa around 6.He had very good skills as a full stack developer.

Placement Experience:

The placements here are quite good, but not great. Because only 50% of students in a class are getting placed. From S7 onwards the placements have been started for our department. But for other departments, from S8 only companies have arrived. For CSE department, many companies are coming which include Cognizant, SOTI, Mitsogo, EY, 6D Technologies, etc. Our senior batch students have placed at many companies in this. But comparing with other senior batches, the placements at our batch is really bad.

IIST - A good campus to live but with high restrictions.

The campus placement is there in the campus.A lot of companies visit to the campus. From this year more private companies are visiting because of the breaking of bond with ISRO due to which students are getting good package.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester and internship from 3rd semester. You can apply for internship on your own right from first semester but college gives aid from 3rd semester. The major recruiter is ISRO which offers 40-45 jobs for aerospace engineering. Also other companies like CDac Airbus Boeing and DRDO and HAL visit for recruitment. Nearly 85-90% students get placed while some opt for Higher education and research too. My primary goal is to get into ISRO also I will be preparing for gate examination to complete my IIT dream.
