Likes

KNC Journalism has good faculty members, the professors are nice they teach you at a pace which you can understand and also the notes given by them are really nice.
Have many societies in which you can indulge and make great progress.
Washrooms are really bad, like they are not much in number and which are there they are not cleaned properly.

Dislikes

We as a journalism student need more practical classes then theory but our faculty is limited only to theories. They teach you more about theory part but don't teach us how to use it in our daily life.
Further we don't even have a proper infrastructure, like only OSR has projector which works other classroom are just provided with board or if there is projector it doesn't work.
Social life is also not that great. We doesn't even meet our seniors like other students meet, we are confined to our class only. Some of the seniors are great but everyone is busy in their own

As a journalism student we need more practical based education not just limiting to theories. We need to know how the camera is handled how we will react after having Mike for the very first time, we should know how to make people agree to point and how to get things done. But these are the things college or faculty thinks should be done on their own, But we need assistance

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 17500 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

On the very first year we paid around 17,600 but in the 2nd year we paid around 20,000. Further we don't even have college hostels and there are not placement in our college. We just have a small placement cell which bring companies.

Campus Life

College is great for those people who want to get involved in extra curricular activities. There are many societies for dance, singing, sports, NCC, social work, theatres and many more. These are great at their own but the question arises that is the society will become toxic at time which students aren't able to handle.

Admission

First you have to appear in CUET UgG for admission further fill CSAS portal and then you will get to know accordingly if you will get College or not. I had scored around 690 in the respective xam. As journalism is not provided in most of the college it is the one of the best option in DU

Faculty

We have not too great faculty members but overall they are good. Some professor are well known about the life of a student and they teach us accordingly. But some are like a typical professor who would come and teach only.

Students become eligible from 4th year to sit in placements. Famous companies like NDTV, News 24 , India today, ABVP,etc comes for placement. Highest package was 1200000 per annum and 300000 per annum is average package. Profiles offered are reporter,research executives, content creator, anchor, field reporter,etc I will go for anchoring after completing the degree.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of our college is functional and active. The chances depend on the course that you have opted for. The placements are really good for commerce, economics, Maths, Stats but for the other department's students it might be a bit challenging to find a company of their domain. The students become eligible to sit in placement from 5th semester. The companies that visit my college are Godrej, BCG, McKinsey, Nation with Namo, Blackstone, Accenture, KPMG, EY, citibank, microsoft and Amazon etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate my course four out of five because in journalism is a field where people are not about so much. The main stream media does not show the real problems and challengs of the country. They live in a bubble of their own. Many of the times they provide miss information to the people which hurts the hearts of the people. They do not cover multiple aspects of media. The exams in the daj is not so hard you can easily pass it by just 4 to 5 days of preparation.
