Course Curriculum Overview

Physics is a vast and wide range of knowledge it helps us to solve day-to-day life problems and cosmic problems also. Physics is not a subject whole universe is under the physics. So if I understand physics I can easily solve my general problems due to unphysical activities. The exams are held on time.

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 4600 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Our college is a very low fee structure that anyone can afford and these fees don't change anymore. The complete cost of my degree is around 20,000 for 4 years. With this, I got a West Bengal government scholarship from SVMC.

Campus Life

We have a good infrastructure in our college they help us to build our personality and also our knowledge about the subject and its application, so in future we cannot face any problems related to this and our college provides a library with extra curriculum activities and many more.

Admission

The eligibility for any course is about 60% in 12th board in any stream to take the honors course if you belong to St or Sc category then 45% marks is enough for you and the frequency of exams is about 6 months to 8 months and the difficulty level of the exam is not too much high but you should study enough for the first exam.

Faculty

In our department, some teachers are very good and their knowledge about the subject and topic is more than our syllabus. That's helpful very but some teachers are so good at explaining the topic by hand.

I wanted to dive deep into the actual concepts and workings of the economy and understand how the world works from an economist's point of view. Sadly the curriculam doesnt bridge the gap between theory and real life. It focuses heavily on textbook and not how the world works.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The Physical Chemistry faculties are the best I got, that influenced me to carry forward my research carrier in Physical Chemistry. The curriculum for the Physical and Inorganic chemistry are upto the mark and I felt improvement in teaching style and curriculum is required for Organic Chemistry part. The difficulty of Internal examination can be improved a bit.

It was good to be a part of that college

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say the course is good but you have to opt for masters and PhD to get a good placement. After bsc there's not any placement. The curriculum was basically practical and theoretical based. But I think it should be more practical so that we can get a job after doing bsc. The teaching method was good I didn't have any problem with that. As it was under Calcutta University so the exam questions were too difficult, sometimes it came out of our syllabus , i think they should change this a little bit .

The reality of SCC

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus for BSc. Microbiology Hons. was in line with my interests. Few topics like virology, bacteriology, and diversity of the microbial workd are what drew my attention to pick this course. Although there are some portions which one would consider "boring", but I believe every subject has its interesting as well as boring portions. It's seems fair to judge a subject by seeing if the "boring" portions outweigh the "interesting" parts or not.

In terms of relevance and comprehensiveness of the course curriculum, my rating is solid 4.1 out of 5. Because it offers a variety of courses like compulsory english, environmental science, constitution values of India, Inter Disciplinary Courses where one can opt for a variety of subjects which change along with the course proceeds or semester changes. Not only that two major papers and one minor paper are present throughout the semester. As a student we should be well aware of our country and its law as well as how we can keep our environment healthy followed by sustainable development.

Remarks:

This college is extremely good and known for its discipline and the stress it puts on the importance of studying. Also, there are many extra curricular activities thag one can take part in, and the teachers are helpful and encourages for a better future and are also vert capable. I opted for the course because any biology related course excites me and this college has one of the best faculty for this course.

There was only 3 better colleges I couldn't apply to. They were St.Xaviers Kolkata, Goenka and Maulana Azad. Seth Anandram Jaipuria College is among the top 5 colleges and is well known. It is also the best college in North Kolkata, some might not agree to me though. The deciding factors for me were very low fees, decent quality teachers, and the most important, quality of crowd and reputation of the college.
