Campus Life.College have a strech of 75 acres with 8 departments and providing many opportunities in sports and games etc.
Good faculty. Night life is so good at GECT. We spend whole day at college no one asked anything. Zero ragging makes our campus unique. Seniors just like our friends they will give their maximum for helping us.
Easy accessibility to railway station,bus station, hospital, police station etc.

Course Curriculum Overview

The college is affiliated with APJKTU and curriculum and syllabus have been provided by APJKTU. The curriculum is designed perfect with not missing any of the relevant topics to study at Engineering level. The class timing at this college is 9:00 am to 4:00 pm with 1 hour each for FN and AN for Monday to Thursday. For Friday on considering muslim students the FN session is from 9:00 - 12:20 with 50 mins each for 4 period and there will be a break of 2 hours 12:20-2:20. For AN session 2:20-4:00 with 2 periods of 50 mins.

Class Size: 75Course Fees: INR 20000 per year

Internships Opportunities

The college is allowed students to take internships and they are encouraging us to take internships. The IIIC present in college is provided the opportunities for the internships. KSEB,NIT,IIT and other government sectors are allowed students to take internships. There will be a main project at final year which is in the syllabus and mini project at every year which is given by faculties.

Placement Experience

Students are allowed to take place in placement from their 5th semester onwards . There's a placement cell working at the college providing the opportunity for placement and making the students prepared for placements. More than 60% students are placed this year with more than 30 companies visit with an average package of 500000.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fee is designed by the Directorate of technical education. 6000-7500 will be the annual tuition fee. Other fee like exam fee special fee will be 4000-5000 per year. For reservation students there will be scholarship for tuition fee such as egrantz. The tuition fee and other related fee of reservation students will taken from egrantz. Many other scholarships are provided by the college with which offers above 40000-50000. The college hostel fee is around 20000 for one year with all fees like food and accommodation.

Campus Life

The campus life at this college was too good providing all necessary supports for us. There are several clubs like IEEE,IEDC,SAE,GDSC etc are functioning at the college. There's a gym inside the college for both men and women. The infrastructure of the college is good with some old architectural insights and some of the departments are reconstructed with new architectural design and materials. A central computing facility is provided by the college to every students. College campus including hostels are covered with good wifi connection

Hostel Facilities

The college hostel is functioning inside the college campus with a good infrastructure. For first years the rooms are provided for 4 students and for others 2 students are allowed for one room. The hostels are well electrified and wifi enabled. There will be non-veg for everyday. Mess timings are morning 7:30-9:00 ,11:45-1:30,3:30-5:00,6:30-8:00. The admission for hostel is based on the online application submitted by students. Income, distance, cgpa are considered for the hostel admission. The mess fee based on the attendance. Which will go maximum of 2000 for month . Room rent is 350.

Hostel Fee: INR 20000 per year

Admission

The admission process is purely based on the ranks obtained from KEAM. For All India quota JEE is considered as it's a second tier college. For each category there will each Last Rank. When we got allotment here we have to fill an online form inorder to complete our admission. We have to came to college with that application form with all documents original and complete admission process. For the admission Fee it's around 10000 and no other fee for admission.For SC/ST Students there will be a fee of 10000 inorder to complete their admission.

Faculty

Every faculty members are atleast qualified with Mtech. Everyone have their profile with educational qualification at college profile. Each and every faculty members are selected by exams and interviews. I'm studying EEE and my batch have 140 students and 4 faculty advisors have been in-charge. For 70 students there will be 2 faculty advisors.

Good life memory

Likes

College ambience was too attractive. Friendly atmosphere ആൻഡ് very nice hidden spots and food spots inside the college
The faculty was too supportive and encouragive nature that was also in studies and extra curricular activities also that be very kind of them
There is not only aim to study but also encourage the extra activities. The management was also very supportive to students and also the faculties.

Dislikes

There is very strict to attendence. There was not to bunk the class every hour there will take the attendence and there will be absent they autimaticaly send sms to registerd phone
There is too many exams and assignments that will be little bit problem for students
Canteen facilities little bit bad in my college life time. There was not that much food veriety

Placement Experience:

From 6 th semester onwards campus placement taken. There was coming in bcs, infopark, wipro, etc. Companies are mainly appeared and also many other companies came select many students. The main companies take students in cutoff 8.5or9 cgpa. And some other compnies take students they have backpapers.

I chose this course because the curriculum covers key subjects like Python, Machine Learning, Data Science, and Deep Learning right from the early semesters. The inclusion of electives such as IoT, Cloud Computing, and NLP made it future-relevant and versatile.

This college is not what it seems in the first look.

Likes

College was at a beautiful place. It was not a city but a beautiful place.
Hostel was great. I got many friends from there.
These are the only things that I can think of.

Dislikes

Teachers, they are horrible one one teacher named aparna was professional and ethical. My HOD was the worst.
Principal is the worst. She does not hear students side. She is money minded. I had a fee pending for not more than 2 week. When I went to her for signing my medical report she demanded that she will sign only after I paid that fee
The college does not encourage extra curricular activities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Decent infrastructure. hostel infrastructure is also clean and better than most colleges

Dislikes

Very poor campus life. No importance for cultural programmes and activities
Very poor and degrading environment for women. Faculties and other staff are very judgemental.
Very low packages for average students. Placement training is regularly being provided, but it is too hectic to be managed along with curriculum.

Placement Experience:

students become eligible for placements after sixth semester. Major companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, e.t.c are recruiters. about 5-10 students are recuited on average by these companies. highest package was offered by south indian bank in 2023 (10 LPA). average packges are around 2 to 3 LPA.

We have a very good faculty family that is not only supportive but also loving.

Placement Experience:

From the seventh semester we are eligible for the placements. They provide placement training sessions in the college itself. Computer Science department has almost hundred percent placements. Also there is mtech in the college if you prefer higher studies.

TIST , Great college , fun events and more

Likes

Our seniors passed out with flying colors joining different companies or starting their own. There's a good focus on peer learning and student communities which is pretty nice. Canteen food is decent and labs are great
Most people and professors are friendly and they encourage you to try out new things.

Dislikes

Hostel water , busses are pretty fast. Sometimes roads are a bitt rough

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

I feel like staffs in my department are pretty good, atleast they fullfill their duties to cover the portions in right time
We have placements training, offered free of cost by college itself
Notes and necessary materials for studying are provided from college itself, and most teachers don't force on buying textbooks or other materials

Dislikes

College is located in aarakunnam, which is a bit remote area hence for various needs we often need to travel a few kilometres even for basic necessities
The road to collage entrance is a steep road, and currently it's under construction (it's been a yr)
Students are required to park their vehicles outside the college, as there is no parking facilities for students inside campus

Placement Experience:

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

When it comes to the campus life, I enjoyed all the 4 years
The infrastructure was okayish Could've improved.
The faculty was really friendly and I was able to approach them without any hesitation.

Dislikes

The road from the junction to the college is not at all maintained. Students coming up the hill find it very difficult to reach college
The bus fees are increased every year. But these people can't find a way to provide seats for the students after paying their bus fee.
Some other campus offer many varieties of food in their canteen. This has to be done here too

Placement Experience:

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.

Remarks:

Yeah well, positive things are there. I got many friends. I got a degree. I learned much personal and professional knowledge. I also learned how to live independently for 4 years without parents alone somewhere.
