Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

the course cirriculum is kinda average as the majority companies are focused on computer science engineering and the colleges provide these courses to earn money. But our department faculty members are way too experienced and provide us many industrial visits with our one year study, they provide us more external knowledge and conducts various hackathons where we can learn more about industries and outside worlds.

Internships Opportunities

2

They doesnt provide not that much amount of oppurtunities to the students as we expected but the oppurtunites stipend is way less and majorly they are not stipend based. and there are very less ppo(s) oppurunities.

Placement Experience

2.5

the placement is not that good as the placement office is only one and the students come for placement from 3 branches. The DSI institution has 3 colleges so overall the competiton is higher as many students appears. There are no FANG or dream companies oppurtinities and majority mass recruiter offers are provided like Capgemini, TCS, Oracle GSC, Mercedes-Benz (R&D), IBM, etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

the fee structure is way too high. the comedk fees is 264372 and the university fees are different after paying huge amount. The kcet college seat is way too cheaper and provide reservations which lacks in comedk seat. The seat is distributed like 45% for kcet and 35% for comedk and rest 25% for management quota which is more than other state colleges.

Campus Life

4.5

the campus life overall is kinda average as the campus size is small. The fests are good as there are two fest provided which they call big celebrities as the recent Esparanza they called Payal Gaming, and the Antaragni focuses on art and culture. There are many clubs such as gaming, kalakriti, podcast, etc but i am disappointed as there is no entrepreneurship club as the college is situated in startup hub which is disappointing.

Hostel Facilities

4

There are two hostels for boys and one for girls. But the beds are bunker bed type and hostel mess food is kinda good, they provide two days non veg and rest of the days are veg. the meal quality is average. the registration process was fast and the room was alloted when the registration was done.

Admission

the admission process are smooth and well planned. Firstly they took the one year fees in the comedk portal while booking the seat and with the receipt and documents we have to come to the college to submit the documents. They provide you particular date range varying 8-10 days. The cutoff for our branch was 28000 for the last round and it might vary every year which we cant rely on previous year cutoff as it vaires way too high

Faculty

4.5

the faculty members are engaging to the students. They provide us proctors to each and every students so we can engage after college hours. The teachers are well qualified and experienced. Some of the teachers are not good and doesnt teach that great as they majorly stick to ppt presentation but not all of them. The faculties takes feedback after internals so that the college also engaged with our experience which is good in my prespective.

Other Applied Colleges

Institute of Engineering and Management - [IEM] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)

the college was good but the location kolkata doesnt provide that much opportunity after graduation like the bangalore provides as it is IT capital and startup hub

Placement Experience:

Placements at RNS Institute of Technology are good. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th or 7th semester. Many companies visit the college, including IT and core companies. Some of the common recruiters include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and a few core companies for EEE. The average package is around 3 to 5 LPA, and higher packages are also offered for top-performing students. The highest package can go much higher depending on the company. Around 70–80% of students get placed, mainly in IT roles. For EEE students, core placements are limited, but there are good opportunities in software roles. The college also provides training and support for placements. After completing my degree, I plan to get placed in a good company and build my career.
