- The college feels safe compared to other colleges due to strict faculties and security.
- The teachers are well and expert in their subjects,so every subject they teach goes directly to our mind
- Fees is pocket friendly compared to other colleges in Mysore.
Dislikes
- The infrastructure is quite small and less areas to explore
- There's less government bus facility so need to wait until the college bus leaves.
- Too strict watchman and security guard they won't leave us outside without permission letter from principal or HOD.
Course Curriculum Overview
The teaching method is great but that doesn't help to gain knowledge because of the old syllabus from vtu. The syllabus need to be updated so that it helps us in gaining current technology knowledge. MIT feels like school where teachers teaches each and every line present in the notes some people like this and some won't.
Placement Experience
There was very good means 100% placements for 2018-2022 batch students but gradually the opportunities decreased due to recision and covid situations but i have been placed in IBM through placements itself. Only few of them have been placed from my department that is electronic and communication engineering. It depends on the students also because the placement opportunity will be provided and students have to grab those opportunities.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure was great in our days the cet fees for us was 1,05,000 for all the course and if it's through donation seat then extra 30k but now the fees is much higher the course fees is 1,80,000 and donations may vary from 6L to 14L. The scholarship will be provided it varies from caste to caste. The employment assistance is quite good the thing is we should ask what we require.
Campus Life
There are some clubs in MIT and we have our IEEE student branch in MIT i was the chair person for the year 2023-2024. And some clubs like michymech etc and throughout my four years of experience we had only one fest that is Mahadasara due to some college issues ( one of girl died in college during that fest) they stopped fest but this year the fest is happening again.
Admission
My cet ranking was 80,000 i belong to ST category and through cet I got this college in third round. Then i reached the college and started application process by filling the details in the form provided and we should pay atleast half of the fees and they provided me with I'd card. If someone is looking to join MIT then they can approach them so that they'll help in seat allotment where they'll make arrangements so that you get MIT college through your cet ranking.
Faculty
The facilities are too strict but the pros is that the teaching is good compared to other colleges. The notes they provide everything is great. Sometimes they'll be freindly and sometimes they'll be strict.
